i spent all weekend imputing 3 separate games into cardwarden on my ipad.
did friday, lotr core, and thunderstone super box (ruins, roc, and bane)

took quite a few hours. but total worth it. with my 3 year old, i often get interrupted during a session, then its pack up time. so not having the physical cards out when playing is a big plus! and portable too!

Legendary encounter for me. had a first go at it tonight.

Lost because all of the heroes i could buy were high cost, and couldn’t really get any heroes after the first few rounds, i’ll have to use the barrack search cards more efficiently next time. still managed to get to the final alien and almost through the whole hive deck regardless of my decks being pretty wimpy.

solo, with two hands, i have heard that 3 is the sweet spot, but fear will get even more confusing with me playing another hand.

nice read. i enjoy miniatures, like mentioned, painting them is really relaxing, but i too have games that i haven’t played due to me wanting the initial play to be with them all done up properly.

the problem i have is with the kickstarter exclusives, and how i will not be able to enjoy the same game that someone else is (without paying big money on ebay) just because i didn’t know something was a thing. I assumed with the cmon logo and mentioning, that that was going to be your core question, but then no mention of them.

i know its an incentive to them to sell more out the door, but at this point, does cmon really need to use kickstarter to fund a new game??

didn’t get any actual playing done, however, i did paint minis for 12 hours straight. got two more to go til i finish the core set of Arcadia Quest. now to figure out if i want to open the guildmaster set or sit on it for a few years to make money on ebay.. anyways i had as much fun as actually playing the game 🙂

i have every thunderstone advance set except for the starter one. the game is great with other people, but i really enjoy playing it by myself. i have 3 separate sets i use when i decide to play. all of them are fun!

just got arcadia quest in the mail. mad i didn’t know about the kickstarter and missed out on half of the heroes. almost made me not buy the game at all. then i watched the dicetower review, and decided that some awesomeness is better than no awesomeness. seems like a bunch of fun, now i just gotta find some people to play.

thanks for adding the thunderstone expansions. now i can have them all on my collection page!!

just got my copy of earth reborn, so ill be spending a good amount of time playing the intro levels. also thunderstone, my new favorite past-time. solo of course, because no friends 🙁

i bought the core game. saw how fun painting the minis was. then went to ebay and bought the guildmaster and core set. now the question, do i open it, or save it for a few years and sell it for the moneys?

i really like the characters, and all the bonuses seem really cool, but i think that this has the potential to be worth quite a lot later down the line. any thoughts?

i am new-ish to thunderstone advance. i had played through a few games of towers of ruin, and had decided that i liked it enough to obtain all of the expansions and other sets (except starter). i just spent a few good hours organizing and alphabetizing the ruin box. could only fit Caverns of bane and roots of corruption expansions in.

my question is should i keep two different sets, the one i listed and then worlds collide, into the abyss and Numenera as a different set that i would bring instead of the other set? i read that into the abyss has level 4 hero upgrades for worlds collide and has the colored counters from Numenera. so did i do a good job splitting the sets? anybody else have a different way they would have split?
