Some basement rooms give bonus points the number of specific rooms you have. We wait until the end of the game to score those bonuses so that when you place new rooms of that type the bonus doesn’t get overlooked.

The rules suggest when a player takes a dice to move the initiative card to his/her play area. We simply place our tracking token from the Backstory card onto the card we chose. Then after the market phase just grab your tracking token back. It’s a lot easier the rearranging the cards every round.
