We have been on a kick with Lost Expedition lately but we have some events to go to this weekend, so hopefully we can find time to squeeze in a game or two.
Did you know there’s an expansion in the works for Lost Expedition?
What are you playing this weekend?
I am in a great dryness of boardgames … I need to make something urgent with my people!
I am still playing Dice Masters all weekend.
Friday night we played Flatline. Dice game where you are trying to heal patients and deal with emergencies before you run out of time. Then we played Star Trek Panic and Century Spice Road.
Saturday my girlfriend and I attempted to learn Firefly Adventures: Brigands and Browncoats. It was a very frustrating experience. The game seems really well done as far as theme, but this has to have the worst rule book I’ve ever come across. Rules are scattered across the book in sections that aren’t relevant, and there are several rules that are not explained in detail or contradict each other. So after that we switched to Legacy of Dragonholt, which is a fun choose your own adventure. Think of it as D&D without the DM and randomness of dice.
Friday: Evolution: Climate & Rising Sun
Saturday: Wallenstein & Heavy Hitters
Sunday: Krosmaster: Quest
@Tiana901. Thanks; Lost Expedition sounds great. I am glad it plays well with two players. I will keep it in my Amazon shopping cart.
@Tom I think Lost Expedition is a really good two player game, and since I play games primarily with my husband, I am always on the lookout for a good two player game. I also find that I can relax more with a cooperative game and have fun. I read the book that this game is related to and I really love the theme: trekking through the jungle trying to reach your goal. It’s a game that encourages discussion and decision making, since the cards each have several options on them, and you can sometime rearrange the sequence which has an effect on the actions. Although I can relax more with coop games, I find that this game has a nice amount of tension as the decisions we make have consequences in the game, and I really worry (a little) about the characters getting injured or worse. It also has a competitive mode that I have never tried. My husband has recommended it to several people and they have all really enjoyed it so I think it’s a winner, but I don’t know if it fits with your kind of game. That’s always hard to say. Do you think it sounds like something you might like?
This weekend, I hope to play Jump Drive, Jaipur, and Pandemic Iberia. @Tiana901, how is Lost Expedition? I have a love of Coops, and it has been on my radar.
Friday-Roll Player, DC Deck Building Game, Martian Dice
Friday- Fields of Arle with the Tea and Trade expansion, Battle for Rokugan, and Yokohama.

Thunderstone Quests will be played. Dominion tonight. Alien Frontiers last night.
Just got Mangaka and Terrifying Girl Disorder (neither on the site as of yet), and hopefully I’ll get to test them out.
