Pixel Lincoln is a fantastic retro journey through an excellent 8-bit reality with humor, easy to employ rules, and whimsical fun. Island Officials hit an 8-bit home run with this one.
The box comes complete with a hefty amount of components, each maintaining the fun theme of the nation’s greatest president kicking butt while navigating through a side scrolling adventure. The rule book is a little unclear at times, but the rules themselves are simple and easily implemented into the game. An attractive key to this game is a solo play option as well as a great theme of the side scrolling games that dominated video gaming for so long.

If you’re a lunatic like I am, you dig sleeving all your game cards. I’m a big fan of the Fantasy Flight sleeves, so here are the sleeve sizes for Mice and Mystics and the Fantasy Flight Game sleeve package colors for them.

Large cards, 71 cards (Encounters, Search deck): 63.5 x 88mm; FFG Standard Grey

Yesterday was my weekely X-wing butt whooping, and today looks like some group Zombicide. Maybe later I’ll unbox and give Pathfinder ACG Skull & Shackles a try. Super excited about that one. There may be a Love Letter or Citadels appearance in there somewhere too.

I’m on the fence with this one. I think that there is definitely a place for tiny games, but I also think it is entirely dictated by the the game itself. If a game is really well designed and fun to play, I don’t think it matters too much how long it takes to play. Enjoyment is enjoyment whether it is five minutes or 180 minutes for me. I do dig how some of these tiny games can just go right in my bag and can be played whenever there’s an oppotunity. I always have Love Letter and Friday on me, though I’m not sure Friday fits the catagory.
