We’re going to have a couple game nights this weekend and we’ve got three games on our playlist: Mice & Mystics, Mage Wars and DungeonCraft. We’ll be posting an article next week with our impressions of DungeonCraft and hopefully have a full review of Mage Wars up by the end of the month. This year has truly been a great one for board games!
What’s on your playlist this weekend?
(speaking of playlists, we did find it was fun to listen to the Star Wars soundtrack while playing X-Wing Miniatures Game!)
My nephew gave me an advanced Magic thrashing!
We played a bunch of 4 player Lord of the Rings: LCG while the wives attended a Baby Shower. Really looking forward to the new sets.
Played Keyflower and Pandemic w/ On the Brink last night. Keyflower was very good. Lots of tough decisions.
We played some Alien Frontiers, Libertalia, Poker, Cash ‘n’ Guns, and Infiltration.
we played Arkham Horror 3x and Dominion: Dark Ages & Intrigue set-up and then Seaside/ Prosperity. Fun was had. Also a little bit of digital Ticket to Ride
My wife and I enjoyed a (fast) two-player game of Dominion Seaside and then a very interesting Seaside and Dark Ages mix. During that game, I found myself using the Graverobber to turn Rats into Gold quite a few times. Fun! Despite all of that, my wife handily beat me both times. *sigh*
We didn’t get to play as much this weekend as I had hoped, but we did get to play Family Fluxx as well as try out Eight-Minute Empire, which was great fun. Oh, and I had a solo play of Rune Age — and lost.
UNO!
The 9th was my birthday – and as such, I got some gaming in this weekend.
Pulled off plays of Hot Rod Creeps, Hey, That’s My Fish!, Space Hulk: Death Angel, and Ticket it Ride: Europe (We’ve had the U.S. version for a long time and were really looking forward to Europe – really like this one!). There’s still time tonight… I might try to get in a play of Mice & Mystics
Yes, The Settlers of Catan was played! With five people, so the extension was needed. But we also played Roborally and Party & Co. It was a weekend full of fun!
I ended up playing five games of Heroscape. We followed this with a game of Cyclades and a game of SmashUp. A nice gaming week-end!
Played Dungeonquest, 7 Wonders, Panic Station, Fleets of Venice and Illuminati (which needs to be added to this database). Overall it was a good Saturday.
A bad case of food poisoning destroyed this weekend’s game plans..
We played Risk 2210 A.D., gave Apostate a beat down in Sentinels of the Multiverse, played Cards Against Humanity with both expansions, and capped off the night with a game of Ninjato. Plenty of fun and variety were had!
Me and two of my friends had a go with The Castles of Burgundy, which turned out to be just as much fun as one would expect from a game of this genre and coming from Ravensburger! One glance of the boxart and back of the box was enough to tell us just how much of a blast it would be to play this game, so all you who understand Swedish can look forward to a very positive review of this game if you’re a follower of my channel on YouTube (link available on my profile) 🙂
Order of the Stick Adventure Game: The Dungeon of Dorukan;
Cosmic Encounter;
Evo;
Android: Netrunner.
Going to get Cosmic Empires to the table this weekend. I picked it up at Essen and it feels like a light and faster playing Twilight Imperium.
Played Senji and Shadow of the Emperor. Hoping to get Keyflower in at some point too.
Lascaux, Power Grid, Star Trek Expeditions
Also a busy weekend:
– City of Horror
– Evo
– Smashup
– Netrunner
Unfortunately no strategy game this time, but I do hope to get some Starcraft or Twilight during coming week 🙂
