This Saturday is a very special day… International TableTop Day!
What games will you be playing? Will you be hosting and/or attending an event? Will you be going to a local game store? If you do go to a local store to play, make sure to find the store in our Local Game Store area (or add it if it isn’t there) and comment on the store page about all the fun you had!

@ErikB and I got our butts handed to us playing Sentinels earlier today…
I’ll be teaching the girlfriend how to play Robinson Crusoe today! Looking forward to utilizing the official “quick start guide” on the Z-man website.
I’m sick in bed when I should be working at the game store helping with this event. :'( Hopefully I will be able to get my husband or one or more of my kids to play one of our less taxing games later. Might try “Pillage & Plunder” a really cool little game made locally or Carcassonne or Qwirkle. We have a lot of games so I should be able to find something I can handle that one of the kids will want to play.
Have an awesome International Tabletop Day, Everyone!
I’ll be demoing Sergeants Miniatures Game at the Elk Grove Village Historical games convention in Elk Grove Village, IL. Hopefully I’ll find time to check out some other games there.
Some bigger games this weekend, Arkham Horror and Eclipse, maybe some Ghost Stories and Mice & Mystics later.
We have arranged to start a campaing of Descent 2ed. I played 1ed long time ago and it left a bad feeling on my mind… but two of my friends really like the 2ed and have been complaining about being unable to play. So i will give it a new chance.
Maybe some other arise on late night…
Friday Gaming Wins 0 for 3
I don’t mind helping The Boy ‘train’ for the Summoner Wars Bracket Battle but it was basically me being a straw dummy and him wailing away with a big stick called The Fallen Kingdom *grumble* And the the solace game of Battlecon consisted of him hitting me with ‘cheap moves’ while I tried out a new ‘nuance’ character.
No nacho sampling for you come the morrow Sir!
We started today with a quick game of 5-person Dominion: Seaside. I am working Saturday but the family will visit our FLGS that is hosting a Tabletop Day event. I will get some solo Dungeon Roll in. I hope to play Bootleggers on Sunday.
Update: Didn’t play Bootleggers. Family was taught The Downfall of Pompeii at the LFGS. We picked up Prosperity and played Dominion with that expansion.
My son and I will visit our FLGS that’s listed on this site. Our fingers might be itching for a fresh new box of fun. With that said, we have some more Heroes of Metro City, Carcassonne and maybe Pathfinders ACG to play.
I’m hoping to get in a lot of Netrunner with friends tomorrow. I’ll be hitting up my FLGS so hoping to play some new games with folks as well.
Kind of a ‘Let’s See What Happens @JAY Weekend’ – I mean TableTop Day AND On Demand’s WatchAThon??? C’mon Wheaton – you know better!
Friday: Already was cajoled into two games of Summoner Wars so The Boy can prepare for Tier 3 of the Bracket Challenge (moved to Sunday) Go Fighting Fallen Kingdom! After typing this I want to play a round of Devastation as there is a new character I want to try.
Saturday: Actually not much gaming for most of the day, but volunteering at the FLGS. They are trying to do a Wheaton Sanctioned game every half hour to hour. The Boy is running King of Tokyo. They are doing a sort of pot luck snack bar – so I’ll spend the morning constructing two platters of D-10 Layer Nachos (which are just D-8 Layer Nachos with a drizzle of hot sauce rivulets and a sprinkle of Cajun spice). I’ll be helping with the food tables and organizing and like @Andross avoiding the Euro wood…and looking for sales ;). Come the night hoping someone will break out a Flying Frog and we can get a game of Last Night on Earth or Fortune and Glory in.
Sunday Lazy Sunday Kickstarter Brunch. Cheerleading and crossing toes for The Fallen Kingdom. Maybe a game of Sentinels?
I looked into local Denver gaming events but nothing really stood out except Total Escape Games, but we live a bit far from them.
@Johnny Opie and any other @coloradans – If you are heading to an event this weekend, I’d love to know about it! It would be great if events could be linked to the appropriate store in the “Stores” tab.
I haven’t really decided yet. All I know is that I want to play as many of the games I never get to play as I can.
I’ll probably be at my FLGS bouncing between teaching people Sentinels of the Multiverse and finding people to play Race for the Galaxy.
I should probably also spend some time playing the annual required game (i.e. doing my taxes).
I got lucky enough to go to the official Geek & Sundry event in L.A. so I’m excited to see what games they have there during the day. Then later in the evening my gf and I are having friends over to play games. It’ll be a full day!
I’m participating in a Walk for MS tomorrow, but we are still hoping to be able to game in the evening. If we do, it’ll be some gateway game like Carcassonne or Settlers of Catan.
The majority of my Saturday is already claimed by a religious conference, but I am hoping to get in some evening gaming with my mother and sister. Both have expressed a desire to play Tokaido again, and I might be able to bring out a couple other games as well.
I’ll be spending most of Saturday at my FLGS where the event is hosted. Not sure what to bring though… thinking about DC Comics DBG (both), Jamaica, Small World.
I will be at work all day, demonstrating Ticket to Ride: Europe, Carcassonne, and Smash up!.
Unfortunately, no games of my choice during the evening.
We’ll be heading down to our FLGS to host a couple games. One of the staff requested we bring down Terra Mystica, Boss Monster and Hanabi, but I imagine we will be bringing down a few more… should be a great day of gaming!
