Ohh! I’ve been wanting to try Catacombs. I haven’t seen it in the stores recently, and I suppose a reprint would be why. Looking forward to it! Thanks for the update.
It doesn’t appear that wargames get a lot of lovin’ on BoardGaming.com so I suggested Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear (2nd Ed.). I went through my formative years playing Squad Leader so I was tickled to see a streamlined version with bigger counters, presumably for my aging eyes.
@Kaleb – I’m not sure when this happened, but Viticulture now has a page.
Would it be possible to request an entry for the entire 18xx family?
I don’t see much point in an entry for each and everyone of them but it would be a little nice to have a family entry for them as I prefer those with a little shorter playtime and fewer people.
Good to see Redshirts on this list. I’ll need to post a review soon!
One of the best updates! Great to see Euphoria! Lots of recent KS games, the hard to spell abstract series, classics new and old.
Totally jealous of those of you who have Heroquest – would love to get that in the Spielbound library.
@Account Deletion – considering the huge KS that Tuscany just had, I’m hoping for Viticulture to be added. Ricochet Robots is also a classic!
@Sir G @MLawless @Garbled Whew – I’ll join you on the Redshirts shuttle. We thought we were playing the game wrong also. The Boy and I just chalked it up to extreme Munchkin style play the once or twice we took it for a spin. I love the theme. I love the humor. The games looks fun – I want to play it. The Boy even came up with ‘Skin of Evil Day Spa’, but I guess when the KS fell under the Wrath of Khan legal issues, they made off with the rules. Perhaps an expansion? Redshirts 2.5: The Search for Endgame
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! <—Khan style
@Granny LOL How long did that sit in moderation? 😉
@MLawless, you definitely aren’t alone there. It’s definitely a head-scratcher.
@garbled, than YOU for confirming what I suspected for so long. I’m glad I’m not the only one out there that found the game mechanics lacking. I sense the opportunity for some serious house rule posting here. :o)
@Andrew L, we’re very grateful to have these added to the site! The more the merrier. So, do you accept Excel format for game submissions? ;o) Despite all of the awesome additions, my collection still is largely unrepresented on this site. I presume you guys have a serious backlog of submissions. Please let us know if that’s not the case and I’ll keep ’em coming.
Time for me to buckle down and find the time not just to play games, but to review ’em.
Sir Gamesalot: It’s good to know others felt the same way about Redshirts. It’s so broken, that you are convinced you are doing something wrong. I suspect it would be a great game if you just made all new rules for it, and kept the cards. 🙂
Hey folks!
Love entering games especially now that they are from your suggestions!
Lots…Lots more to come – keep the suggestions coming!
@gargirl, Run for Your Life, Candyman is nice, but have you played Shootin’ Ladders: Frag Fest? It’s basically a sequel with WAY more goodies and play options. Seriously, you owe it to yourself to check it out. I ran a custom multi-game session with those 2 and a third part that I pieced together with bonus custom goodies. Don’t forget to make the gingerbread men and add frosting damage as you play!
I’m glad to see a few more games added that I own. Thanks, Jim and Andrew L for the nice additions!
I’m most excited to see Transylvania: Curses and Traitors added to the site. I saw the demo game in person and it looks like a fantastic game with multiple paths to victory, including my personal favorite of transforming into a monster and ripping the human characters to shreds (sometimes more than once per game). Should be set to KickStart in May.
I’m surprised to see that Redshirts was added. I picked up the game a while back, but found it lacking in all the ways mentioned in garbled’s review.
I’m looking forward to picking up a copy of Steam Park when I can. I’ve been looking at it for some time and will pick up a copy when it’s back in stock.
Love Factory Fun. Now I need to dig out and dust off my copy to get in a play.
Whoa…awesome list of games that I’ve actually played and owned.
The GIPF/YINSH/ZERTZ games are such a great and interesting idea…take a common game board and common pieces and make several different and unique games out of them. Most of those games are abstractly fun and challenging also.
I’m sure I could write reviews for them, Euphoria, Council of Verona and Blood Bowl too.
I am happy to see a healthy amount of user recommended games on the list. The last update didn’t have that many and I was worried. I am especially happy to see Steam Park and Among the Stars made it.
Glad to see Euphoria on there – was a significant omission. And excited to learn more about Chaos Marauders!
Rats, none of mine made it. I was hoping. Maybe next time! Seriously, play Ruunfor Your Life, Candyman! and everyone ask for it to be added. It’s so much fun. ^_^
Sadly I only have Euphora on this list. I added some suggestions for the next additions though!
Now I saw an update of weight sets which had been some time that he saw.
Indeed, congratulations for additions.
@Jim Whoops – I always think you are a one man Power Robot 😛
@Andrew L Thank you for stocking the library :):)
I’ve got to send out a HUGE THANKS to Andrew L for adding these games to the site!
Finally! Review of Council of Verona coming soon!
