Last night we made it past level 3 in Level 7 [escape], just two more to go before we escape! Then for the weekend we’ll be playing some Smash Up, X-Wing (check out the newly announced ships here!), and Heap.
Cards Against Humanity to warm up the group, then play a round of Risk Legacy (me and friend are tied at 4 games each) and then a round of Waterdeep because it’s a new favourite.
My biweekly gaming group has gone up to 7+ players now so we got a couple plays of The Resistance (twice just base game and once with The Plot thickens cards) and a couple games of 7 Wonders.
I actually got to get together with my gaming group this past Friday night. Working second shift puts kind of a kink in that plan so it’s alot of fun when I can do it. Got in a game of Smash Up with them, and a good time was had by all.
This weekend I arranged a three-player sealed deck game of Magic using 2013 core set boosters with my two youngest siblings. I picked up the booster packs on Saturday and we played on Sunday. It was a lot of fun, and it’s definitely a format I want to do more with. It puts everyone playing on more or less an even footing, so it’s actually more about deck building skill than about who has the most money to buy loads of cards.
Other than that, my family played a game of Speed Scrabble this (Monday) evening, and then I played two games of Magic with my youngest brother to help him test a deck he’s been tweaking. So yeah, lots of Magic this weekend.
There is a challenge now at my local game store that any team who can beat Ghost Stories at the store with the owner witnessing the event will have dinner bought for them by the store owner. I know what I’m going to be gearing up for.
Lost over and over and over…. AND OVER again to the Dungeons Deep and Caverns Dim scenario in Lord of the Rings LCG Hobbit expansion. Anyone else have trouble with it? It’s brutal, you get swarmed turn 1 and half your guys are dead or dying before you even get to raise your threat once!! PAIN!
Well, in the end we did indeed get to play Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small (looking forward to that finding its way onto bg.c so I can log some plays of this nice little game) and Lords of Waterdeep, so I count that as a pretty successful weekend. 🙂
Was not going to play anything this weekend as I have a book or two to edit, but got permission to go out to Dragoon’s Den Sunday. I will pack German Railways, but hope to play Catacombs, 7 Cities — with the Cities expansion, and Village.
Yesterday got to play Empire Express, Rivals of Catan, Urbania, Kaijudo, Pirates of the Spanish Main Card Game, Magic Mini Masters and Hot Rod Creeps. More today…
I’m hoping to get hold of a copy of Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small, so if that works out I know what my choice will be for this evening. If not, we’ll have to see. I’ll try to persuade the family to have a Lords of Waterdeep session (shouldn’t be too hard with my daughter!) and I expect new favourite Tsuro will be hitting the table too.
Defenders of the Realm
Magic The Gathering

Dominion, UNdead Jungle, Desperados, Boom Town and hopefuly some San juan!
Summoner Wars is a must, and if I can talk my wife into letting me purchase a new game, I will be playing What’s My Word.
Definitely going to be playing some Level 7 Escape, and Warmachine!

This weekend marks the start of the Netrunner league at my local game store. I cannot wait!

I do love a challenge.

Played some Jaipur, Memoir 44, and 1960: The Making of a President.
I might treat myself to a solo run of Arkham Horror.
Elder Sign and Shadows Over Camelot
Brought out Ideology and another game of D-Day Dice. We really need D-Day Dice in the database (I submitted the info weeks ago!).
Got Christie to try Sentinels of the Multiverse with me today and she liked it.
