The middle can be tempting, but it’s tempting to everyone playing. I like to explore away from the centre, trying to keep my area of influence contained as best I can from other’s intrusions. It’s a defensive tactic, but it can leave your resources safe from plundering until your friends get the wormhole tech to jump tiles.

This package varies from gamebox as I’ve seen it could be a number of different card sets. I would refrain from opening it before game #5 or so because it can severly alter aspects of gameplay, but I feel it is essential to the experience and too much fun to pass up.

I was playing a game with 5 players, no one was a Cylon during the first round, and I pulled a Cylon card in the second. It was obvious that by moving back into the ship immediately that I was Cylon, but the other Cylon was revealed until too late. I would suggest unless you have a good strategy, reveal early and hinder, hinder, hinder the humans, lol!
