With the recent release of the second wave of expansions for Star Wars: X-Wing, we’ll definitely be bringing space battles to the table this weekend. We’re also hoping to get a large group together to play some Panic On Wall Street, should be a great weekend!
What are you playing this weekend?
With any luck, this weekend will be an older game weekend. Kingsburg is probably the newest game we’ll play, but hope to get in some Power Grid, Puerto Rico, all leading up to a big Age of Renaissance game. (Seriously love that game.) 7 Wonders, Carcasonne, and Dominion while waiting for people and food.
We played a couple of games of Pandemic with two different scenarios from On The Brink. Then we played Spartacus. I won nothing as usual (although Pandemic is a hard game to win), not sure why I love games so much, but I do lol. Just got Mice and Mystics so I will be learning it for next game night.
Playing a lot of Summoner Wars and Disc Drivin’ on the phone! Maybe get in a game of Myrmes as well.
Mice and Mystics. We are playing a scenario each night this week and, just like every awesome story, will be knocking out the more climactic and thrilling ending in big chunks over the weekend.
Only played Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries on Sunday. Had to work this weekend so… I can’t wait to try the Wave 2 ships from Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures. Soon hopefully!
Sunday: Taught Jungle Speed as a warm-up before our D&D 4E session.
Monday: NWIBGA weekly Game Night + After Party –
E.T.I (not great, but interesting, like X-Com minus the tactical combat), 8P Shadow Hunters (always a blast, tho I died first), 6P Railways of Western U.S. (my favorite game), 15P Two Rooms & A Boom (becoming a weekly ritual), & taught 5P Lords of Waterdeep (man, I’ve missed this one! Why did it fade?)
Sadly no gaming this weekend, life has been particularly brutal the last week or so. Need a vacation!
As we are just wrapping up the gaming extravaganza(with the lone remaining attendee power-napping before driving home), we managed to sneak in Android:Netrunner and Lords of Waterdeep to the list I predicted before. LoW was a hit with every player, no matter their gaming background or preference, not outstanding in any way, but incredibly satisfying to anyone that plays.
Lots of games this weekend! We managed to get through Doctor Who the Card Game, Scotland Yard, Tsuro, Highwayman, Timeline Discoveries, Courtisans of Versailles, Zooloretto, Eminent Domain, Citadels, and Carcassonne. I think that of those, I was probably most glad to have dusted off our copy of Scotland Yard; I haven’t played it in years and it’s still just great fun. Of course, everyone wants to be Mr X…
I was able to squeeze one game of Small World as well as getting a chance to play my first game of Mice and Mystics. Basing off the first campaign, it reminds me of d&d light without the character making and dungeon master.
Also played Pret-a-porter with Christie this afternoon. Her worker placement fashion designer board game. Pretty good.
Friend just purchased Mage Knight, so we have played the walkthrough a few times. Gonna relax now with a quick game of Elder Sign.
Today I played Star Trek: Fleet Captains and Game of Thrones with some of my friends. While the Federation couldn’t beat the Klingons, House Lannister rose to power. They heard me roar!
We got in a play of Troyes with the Ladies. And a 5-player of BSG with both Pegasus and Exodus.
Last-minute game night had tons of great games out!
Thurn & Taxis; Settlers of Catan; Roll Through The Ages; Agricola, All Creatures Great & Small; Fresco; Lords of Waterdeep; Liar’s Dice; Werewolfe (have been on team Werewolfe & won the last 4 times in a row – a streak that won’t last!); Sleuth; Zombicide; Hawaii; and more.
Great time, though not happy about losing an hour tonight!
It’s already Sunday night… this weekend I played Mage knight, Defenders of the Realm, Legend of Drizzt, and Mice and Mystics. That was a lot of fun!
Cracking open X-Wing Miniatures!
I’m hoping to get in some DC Deckbuilding and maybe some Mice and Mystics. Sentinels of the Multiverse will probably hit the table as well.
Pandemic with the OTB expansion is AWESOME. We’ve been playing it with our family gamer friends for a couple of years, and haven’t tired of it yet.
This weekend, we’ve already played Flash Point and Star Trek Catan. Coming up tonight should be 7 Wonders, Puerto Rico, Pompeii, maybe some Patrician or Wits & Wagers thrown in.
Going to play Pandemic and On the Brink! on for the first time with a group of friends. Looking forward to trying what I hear is a great game.
