For some this weekend is a holiday weekend, which means more time for games! We really enjoyed X-Wing, so we’ll be playing some more of that. We’ll also be playing Level 7 [escape], Smash Up and Thunderstone Advance: Caverns of Bane.

I played some Catan on my phone after buying it last Wednesday as it had been a few months since I had played. That weekend I got a game of Chrononauts and Power Grid in along with some other ex-pats at a coffee shop by the beach.
It is hard to find players over here, but the groups I do find are solid.
Well I tried to get a game of Battlestar Galactica organized on Monday but it just didn’t work out. I guess there is always next week.
I hope to pick up Netrunner before this next weekend is up. That should be exciting! Next weekend should be much more eventful as far as games are concerned.
We played some Infiltration, D-Day Dice, Formula Motor Racing (Knizia’s Tiki Topple-like racing game), Toc Toc Woodman, and Dungeon Fighter. Overall, a very nice day of gaming!
We played Witch’s Brew, Village, X-Wing and Trajan over the weekend. Hoping to get another game of Trajan in tonight to see how the 2-player works out.
Got some Settlers of Canaan in that I haven’t played in a long time. Also, got to bust out two new games: Campaign Manager 2008 and 1960: The Making of a President. Both were designed by the same people. Campaign Manager makes a quick 2-player election game that is almost a “filler.” 1960: The Making of a President is more like a full-course meal with filet mignon for 2 players.
Just played EVO, but tho old version. Me and my sons prefer the more cartoonish look of the original EVO. Also this weekend Wiz-War and Glory to Rome.
Just finished with another Stefan Feld game, Macao. As usual, fantastic. Really starting to think he’s the best designer out there. He’s latest effort, Trajan is amazing as well. Then we played a few games of Smash Up. Another fun little game. Then finished with some Warhammer Invasion. Good day all around.
Yesterday I played (as usual) Lords of Waterdeep(certain members of my group are hooked), Libertalia and finally got to play Super Dungeon Explore. Today I will be playing Defenders of the Realm, and probably Lords of Waterdeep, Walnut Grove, Libertalia and other odds and ends.
Looking to fit in Caylus, Food Fight, Quarriors, Mr. Jack, Loch Ness,and Dungeon Lords. Fingers crossed!
Some good gaming in this weekend. Trying out some newly built decks for the Call of Cthulhu the Living Card Game, we are also planning to break out Lords of Waterdeep, Elder Sign and Arkham Horror!
Plenty to keep us busy there.

A light weekend for me — just Monopoly Deal and 10 Days in Asia.
My sons and their friend are playing in a Pokemon Battle Roads tourney today at Alien Games in Tulsa. I’m watching two guys playing Android Netrunner right now….and I’m drooling. I want to learn that. A guy has The Red Dragon Inn 2. It looks fun too. Happy gaming gamers!!!!!
Our group is going to be playing the 14th and 15th (final) games of Risk Legacy. And, we’ve decided to open the packet labeled “Do Not Open… Ever” before the 15th game.
Wish us luck, who knows what kind of horrors will be unleashed when that packet’s seal is broken.

@ Granny: Thanks for the heads up about CAH. I saw it sold out while I was at Gen Con, and just last night I was looking for it online. Last night, the price ran from $60 to $80 or higher. Now, less than 24 hours later, I ordered it for $25 with free shipping! Can’t wait to get it next week.
Looks like I’ll be playing Stratego and Chess with the kids. Most likely will get my wife to play Carcassonne or Hive (or both) with me after the little ones are in bed. I might be able to get her to play Summoner Wars if I beg… 🙂
