Thanks for the info guys, I can’t believe I missed out! That does sound cool Andy, not a terrible option, but not as cherry as the original reward. Hmm, I’ll have to think about it.
I don’t see any news about Morels.

If you’re still interested in the Reaper Miniatures, it appears Reaper will be allowing people that didn’t back to put in orders, though the price will be higher than what was offered during the campaign.
You’d have to get in at the Vampire level (was $100, will be $150), and the “add-ons” will be priced 20% more (rounded up to the next whole dollar). While not as good of a deal, it’s still less than $1 per miniature. Getting 2 giants that were an additional $10 (or a dracolich, or C’thulhu) would be $12. For comparison, they’re saying that the Vampire set will retail for $500.
The easiest way to see what’s included at this point would be to go to their Kickstarter page and click on Updates and look at Update 58 – though note that the prices were the original.
The ability to do this is not running yet (nor can people who backed make their selections), so you’ll want to keep an eye on it for a few weeks if you’re thinking about it.
EDIT – If you did not pledge for the Kickstarter, there is now a link you can follow to be put on a list to be contacted when the pledge manager goes life – see Update #62

Two very good games missing from the new release list are Vanuatu (English edition from Coffee Haus Games) and Aeroplanes from Mayfair(which just got pushed back to Sept 13th).

Yeah, it was just too good a deal for me to pass up. $100 would have gotten you 121-140 minis depending on how you used your options. And then there were a bunch of really cool add-ons for very good prices, like a set of 12 paints for $18 and there were four different color sets to choose from.
@ bobb33z3r: It finished the other day (Saturday, I think) after raising over $3.4 million. That was truly nuts! Lots of people are coming away with a ton of minis.
@ Wind Lane
do you mean the Reaper Bones kickstarter? I was going to kick in, but got sidetracked. Is that still going on?
I am pretty sure City of Horror did not get released due to production problems. Looks like it’s now scheduled for an Essen release date. Very excited about this Mall of Horror sequel.
I must admit that Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures is really tempting, even tough it looks like a “must buy more expansions” kind of game.
Check out the Level 7 trailer — it doesn’t say anything about the game itself, but the video definitely makes me want to look into it! I’m waiting to hear how well the game plays. Please share your experience if you played it at Gen Con.
I pledged into the Reaper minis Kickstarter, and I’m going to use those to learn how to paint minis on (not to mention how much they’ll be pumping up my RPG minis by a ton). Then, I’m going to use that gained knowledge to start trying to paint up all these cool games I have with unpainted minis.
Mice & Mystics, Descent, Dungeon Run, Chaostle, Hero Quest, and saved for last so I have as much knowledge and practice as I will get will be Space Hulk.
I traded away Last Night on Earth, but I’m planning on getting it again, and I’d also like to eventually get Zombicide – so there’ll be plenty of room for me to work up my skills to as high as they can get.
I’m expecting slightly above kindergarten coloring.
Mice and Mystics and Netrunner are high on my list.
I really like the story and atmosphere that goes along with Level 7 [Escape], but I’m not sure how often I would get the opportunity to play the game. I walked by a couple of demos at Gen Con but never had time to stop.
I also am eagerly awaiting my preorder of Mice and Mystics, and I held off on picking up X-Wing, but I’ll probably buy it when it comes out in wider distribution. Looks like a fun fall for gaming. 🙂
I’m a sad panda since my netrunner has not come in yet. My friendly local game store is not playing well with the unfriendly prickly distributor. It kind of makes a guy want to hack my way past fantasy flight’s server defenses and see what sort of agenda they are trying to pull. The longer they deprive me of a positive way to enjoy my hacker fantasies the longer they put their own cards blueprints at risk. Runners unite!
Smash up looks incredibly entertaining too. I just might pick that up soon.
Really excited about Hobbit, which I’ll probably pick up soon. Battle Beyond Space intrigues me as well. 🙂
Marrakech is a great quick game, and easy to teach and play with people that aren’t as highly into boardgames (and the carpets are one of the best gaming pieces I’ve seen).
Android: Netrunner looks to be fantastic and if it’s even half as good as the original (and all reports I’ve seen would easily say it is) it’ll be well worth the cost!
Same here, Mice and Mystics looked fantastic at Gen Con, so glad I pre-ordered it back when they announced it, Colby and Plaid Hat haven’t led us astray yet! Smash Up was another at Gen Con that was really a lot of fun and I could definitely see it taking away some King of Tokyo time. Seasons looks like a beautiful game but it could be clunky to play with 4 people by looks. Anxiously awaiting Fleet as well after it being the first thing I ever backed on Kickstarter.
Mage Wars will be played this weekend, I was one of the lucky 200 at Gen Con. 🙂
I’m really looking forward to getting Mice & Mystics next month! Easily one of my most anticipated games of the year.
