Was able to drive up to WBC for the half day on Saturday. Not many games were played; Star Wars Epic Duals and Quarriors, but had an excellent time hanging out with folks I haven’t seen since last year.
Alright..turns out we did play some Zooloretto and some Memoir ’44 Campaign Volume 2 (Pacific Theater). However, we pulled out some Risk 2210 A.D. which we haven’t done in a while. It was fun, and I finally started teaching my kids how they can beat daddy and one of their friends who got the game. We also had a few quick rounds of Sorry Sliders to end the weekend.
I got in quite a good amount of gaming this weekend. Lords of Waterdeep, Pastiche, and Timeline: Inventions on Saturday, and Survive: Escape from Atlantis! on Sunday. It was quite enjoyable.
Played a session of Gears of War with my neighbor. At one point my friend had 4 tickers, a drone, and a boomer with an emergence hole underneath him. We thought the worst. The boomer ended up bloodying him and leaving me another turn.
You gotta love tickers sometimes. I attacked one with the most powerful weapon I had, rolled all five dice, and killed all six Locusts. A little luck does play a part in Gears of War.
I was able to play a surprisingly large amount of games this weekend. I got in my first game of D-Day Dice and really enjoyed it. I got trounced in games of Chaos in the Old World and Eclipse, and then we topped off the night with two games of Ghost Stories, the latter of which we were actually able to emerge victorious. All in all, a solid weekend of gaming.
Actually just picked up 2 games today at a local retailers clearance sale. The suicide Bomber card game and Lord of the rings: The Duel. Tryed both, enjoyed both, but i think LOTR was significantly better. Stinks neither game is on this site 🙁
Got the Dragon expansion for talisman arriving on Sunday as a birthday present so we’ll be giving that a whirl, until then probably playing LOTR: TCG or a spot of Magic, I’ve been neglecting my cards a little lately so I owe them a game or four!
So far nothing planned. Depending on how the Missus feel about letting me after last weekend and todays christening I might slip away to my gaming groups after-holiday reboot on sunday. There’s bound to be some good gaming happening there.
Haven’t played Tobago in a while, so I’ll play that and something light for the in-laws, like Tsuro and of course, the ultra diabolical game called…SKIP-BO…MMMHHWWAA HAAA HAAA! 🙂
I will have a copy of Lords of Waterdeep with me (it will be played, but I have to give it back to its owner as well) and the dreaded Cards Against Humanity for After-Afternoon Play!
Already got a game of Citadels in, hoping to add whatever I can into the weekend. Have to work on convincing my girlfriend to getting around and playing though
Castle Panic! Toc Toc Toc! (which is not listed here not sure why), Chrononauts, Munchkin and Warhammer RPG.
