“Corrupted Quiddity can't go back to the wild.”

Turn corrupted quiddity dice into a game of hot potato.

Make it so that when you cull a corrupted quiddity die from your pool, it can not be placed back in the wilds, but instead must be given to another player’s used pile.

Best done with players that can handle a bit of good-hearted, back and forth sabotage in their game.

“The "Corrupted Deal"”

In an effort to get more corrupted quiddity involved in the game, we play with following house rule we call “The Corrupted Deal”.

On your turn after rolling your hand, you may “make the corrupted deal” and take 1 corrupted quiddity from the wild and place it directly in your bag. If you do this, you may choose to either:

Add 1 basic quiddity to your total this round.
-OR-
Capture an additional die from the wild this round.

The interesting dilemma that occurs is whether you will voluntarily poison your own bag in an effort to get that dragon that you were just 1 quiddity short on capturing… or to capture multiple smaller creatures from the wild in an effort to build your army quicker.

It adds a fun spin seeing as you get to DO SOMETHING with the corrupted dice (which 95% of the time are just sitting there untouched).

“Corrupted Questing Wizard Wins again?”

Really, its pretty strong without being way too expensive. It brings in great glory, has strong attack and defense, isn’t too hard to summon, can give out corrupted dice, can give quiddity, and can give quiddity while summoning another die to roll. Every time I’ve managed to grab 3 or more of them, its almost game breaking.

“Get rid of Corrupted Quiddity”

Getting rid of Corrupted Quiddity dice (culling them or – better – giving them to the opponents if possible) should be your no-brainer choice. You should avoid getting them as they are more then useless. You may be tempted by possible Corrupted Primordial Ooze / Corrupted Defender of the Pale / Corruption incantation combo – but it does not work well: sometimes you gain a lot of glory, but most of the time you end in “Quiddity screw”.

In contrast cards that give Corrupted Quiddity to opponents (especially Corrupted Witching Hag) are pretty useful.

“Small Corruption Start-up”

My house likes to replace 1 basic quiddity die in each players starting bag with 1 corrupted quiddity die and put the replaced basic quiddity in the wild to be available for purchase. This way the corrupted dice are in play no matter what creatures or spells come into play for a particular game.

“Purchase Corrupted Quiddity”

Corrupted Quiddity can be difficult to get into the game. With this house rule, allow Corrupted Quiddity to be purchased for 5 Quiddity and you can place it in the opponent’s dice bag.

“Startup of Corruption”

If you want to have some corruption in your game from its beginning, and also if you want slightly longer games, you could use the following startup:

– Deal the cards as usual.
– Each player gets 7 Basic Quiddity, 4 Assistants and 2 Corrupted Quiddity (13 dice total).
– Put 1 Basic Quiddity die on its card for each player in the game.
