My DnD group is getting back together this weekend and after that we might try and tackle the final quest of The Hobbit and the Balrog. Lookin forward to it, Saturday can’t come soon enough!
Participated in an excellent Magic: The Gathering pre-release event for Return to Ravnica. Went 4-1, missing the Top 8 (and prizes) by less than a percentage point!
I had a cracking weekend of gaming thanks mostly to a trip to a little convention. Highlights for me included Tongiaki, Lords of Waterdeep, Macao, Power Grid and Catan Junior (rather impressed with this as a family game). I didn’t win very much, mind! 🙂
I taught some more of my friends netrunner. Soon we’ll be able to have a little tourney in our area.
I’m excited that others are getting into it. The variety of playstyles and decks is the spice of life for a LCG (or ccg [or anything that ends with CG that you make your own decks with]).
We had an older games day yesterday. I played Get Bit!; Manila; Bluff; Can’t Stop; Star Trek Catan(Old Game, New Edition); Imp In a Bottle; and closed it out with Lords of Waterdeep(I know it’s not an old game, but it was requested.)
Helped run some boardgames at our local game shop’s Magic Event. MUNCHKIN (ugh), SENTINELS OF THE MULTIVERSE (awesome!), and TO COURT THE KING (meh). Then went to help run games at a friend’s church’s Family Game Night! WALKING DEAD (comic version) and DIXIT (always a winner)!
Dusted off my old copy of Last Frontier: The Vesuvius Incident and gave it a play.
The manual and charts for this one make my head spin a bit, and I know I messed up a lot of what I was doing, but I think I’ll have to set it up again soon and give it another try.
Got some Pathfinder happening tonight, but I’m going to be honest, Torchlight 2 has broken into my Boardgaming time! We’ll see what happens at Sunday Game Night. 🙂
We’re trying out a giant version of Talisman with almost all of the expansion. Great fun (although it takes a wee bit too long…)!

Got in a quick game of Ticket To Ride Pocket with my son as we waited in a restaurant. Not much else unfortuneatly.
I was at a cabin in the middle of nowhere and forgot the game bag when packing the car!!! It was a horror, so all we had was Yahtzee….
I got to play Genoa and I was very pleasantly surprised. The game plays surprisingly well and the negotiations are immensely fun.

Only had time for one game of 7 Wonders but it was a lot of fun. Hope to get more gaming in soon.
Sadly, not much gaming this weekend. The group I play with was out of town.
Day 3 of 4-Day gaming: continued my D&D 4E campaign and played my 1st game of Mage Wars. Next: Weekly Monday Game Night with the gang!!

Met up with some friends and taught them Black Gold. It was a success!

Ugh, no idea! I am in from out of town for several weeks and cannot find any gamers in the area. 🙁
If anyone is in the Charlottesville, VA area, please send me an email at joeblow42 at gmail dot com. Would love to hit up almost any type of game.

@Alita_99, Tide of Iron is fun but definitely slanted in favor of the US. Have fun and good like if your the Germans.

LoTR card game, Elder Sign and throwing in some old school RPGing.
Most likely some “Android: Netrunner” and/or “Tide of Iron” (just got that one). Maybe “Tanto Cuore” if I’m feeling cheeky.
