We got the final portion of our kickstarter loot for Myth, so we’ll be digging into that this weekend. We’ll also be trying some quicker games like Coup and Lost Legacy.
This weekend we’re going to try out the new ‘Risk – The Walking Dead (Survival Edition)’. Looks fantastic from what I’ve read about it. Please add it to the site! 🙂
I picked up Blueprints and Hanabi just before the weekend. I managed a couple of 2 player Hanabi games so far, but I ran out of time and Blueprints had to wait.
Saturday I started a new Mice and Mystics group, unfortunately there are 5 of us so I will have to see how well the game handles 5 people. I plan to study several games in the upcoming week as they are all on my unplayed(but want to)list and I want to get them played before I go off to BGGCon in November.
Played Sentinel Tactics this weekend. The game is great. Only played it a few times and every time I’ve played it I’ve had to explain the rules with the new people playing. Nonetheless, I enjoy it.
Tried both King of Tokyo and Boss Monster for the first time this weekend. KoT was great with 4 people, but I can’t imagine it being played with less than that. Boss Monster was fun, and the artwork on the cards was just awesome as well.
Bang: The Dice Game. This has been a big hit in my family. My wife and I also played the 2 player classic Babel, what a cutthroat game. We also got in some Marvel Legendary and hopefully some Jaipur tonight.
Played with the zombie dice 2 add on, which was fun. 2 player hanabi (scored a 20 & 21) love letter & 3 player coup. Probably take these away with us on holiday next week, good travel size.
Well, I just got the second wave of Myth stuff. I’m not sure I want to wade through that just yet. I also received my copy of Dogs of War. This game looks like a lot of fun. It has elements of negotiation and betrayal in 3 simultaneous battles. It’s definitely a Euro-Ameritrash hybrid. I think this game has potential to be a staple of game days. It has most of the elements we enjoy.
We will also be tackling Tragedy Looper again. This is one of those games that has you thinking long after you’ve played. “What could we have done to save her?” Great game.
I think we gave Pandemic slated, as well as One Night and Mascarade. I’ll be bringing a few other games to choose from. I haven’t played Conquest of Planet Earth with this group, and I think they’d love it. I might also pull out a a Euro if we have time…maybe Bruges.
Since friday I have played games that are not on this site:
– 3 games of Dwarf King….Uno on Red Bull
– 1 game of Dungeon Twister 2 : Prison
– 1 game of Ticket to ride 10th anniversary
– 3 games of Kahuna a fun tactical 2 player game
– 2 solo games of Thunderstone Advance Numenera
Nothing officially on deck yet. Spent Friday night wee hours sorting through the second coming of MYTH – now we just have to remember how to play.
Pathfinder: Adventure Card Game Class Decks arrived so I’ll probably test out a few of the new character types.
@Account Deletion Arcadia Quest? *shakes fist* Let me know your impressions if you get around to it. Ours didn’t come yet. I guess Cool Mini Million got wind that we played both sides of the Chibi Dungeon fence. Enjoy Through the Ages if you get to it but be warned – we played only the most basic of basic levels so far (and probably a bit wrongly. That rule book – broke my mind )as a dry run and I’m sure you can see – it’s an Afternoon Burner.
The husband and I are heading down to our favorite board game cafe this weekend. Hoping to try out Merchant of Venus and finally play Eldritch Horror. No doubt we’ll play A Study in Emerald at some point.

I got to try both Death Angel and Cosmic Encounter for the first time. I really enjoyed both and look forward to getting back to them. FFG ftw! 🙂
2 rounds of Betrayal on house on the hill, 2 rounds of coup and 4 timeline yesterday.
Turned into quite long games of Betrayal as the Haunts didn’t start until the 9th and 10th omen card respectively.
I played Concordia (Rio Grande Games, 2013) and 1856 (Mayfair Games, 1995) this weekend. Unsurprisingly, neither are in this database!
So I finished this gaming weekend with:
– Kingsburg
– Krosmaster
– and a solo game of Caverna with a respectable score of 100
Next week is a big weekend so a lot of gaming in perspective
Bang: The Dice Game. This has been a big hit in my family. My wife and I also played the 2 player classic Babel, what a cutthroat game. We also got in some Marvel Legendary and hopefully some Jaipur tonight.
Finally got to play both Dead of Winter and Battle Star Galactica
Both are great games.

My gaming group and I started the pathfinder adventure path Jade Regent this friday. I’ll also try to free up some time for Shadowrun: Crossfire
Today is Afternoon Play #48 and I am packing Twilight Creations Inc.’s Cthulhu!!! and Bezier Games, Inc.’s Surburbia.
