First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all! This wonderful holiday has allowed us to get our weekend gaming started off much sooner! We’ve gotten in a few games of Resistance, as well as Zombicide, Thundersone Advance with the Caverns of Bane Expasnion, and Startcraft: The Board Game! Not sure what we’ll be pulling out next, but the weekend will definitely be filled with games and great times with friends and family!
What are you playing this weekend?
I just got Sky traders, will be trying it out with 6 players Sunday along with a few drinks
I got in some Flux in with my son, and at a friends house we played two games of Space Alert and had a blast!
enjoyed pandemic and smash up
I was pretty happy with the Thanksgiving gaming. Though only one of the games we played (_Wits and Wagers_: an excellent light party game) is listed here.
We played _Terra Mystica_, _1846_, _Boggle_, _Loopin’ Louie_, _Quandary_, _Titan_, _Fearsome Floors_, _Diamant_ and _Pictionary_. Yeah; some of those things are not like the others. My favourite play was likely _Terra Mystica_: it’s something that I expect will get some buzz in the new year when reprinted by Z-Man.
Enjoyed a couple games of Ark (fun little card game) with family on Thanksgiving, a game of Lost Cities later that evening, and then Key Harvest and Power Grid before Monday rolled around.
Chaos Marauders and Magic.
Perfect!
We had a good day yesterday:
Weykick
Wurfelwurst
Martian Dice
Shadow Hunters
Uluru
Shadows Over Camelot
Telestrations
Cutthroat Caverns
The Adventurers: Pyramid of Horus
King of Tokyo
I think there were a few that I’m forgetting. Holidays are great for gaming!
An out of town friend was able to drive in to town on Friday, so I got to play a great game of Mage Knight! We lost, thanks to a round where the dummy ran his entire deck first turn (after getting the highest numbered tactic), but by the end, we were conquering cities by ourselves.
And then I played lots of Ascension, Neuroshima Hex, and Le Havre on my iPad!
Twice 5-player-game in Small World. It was my first time playing this game. Pure fun!
My new game group got to together Friday night. We played some Quarriors and Dungeon Run. It was a great time.
Thursday I also picked up the Lord of the Rings: LCG core set.played the first adventure with my cousin and had a blast, cant wait to try the rest.
We played King of Tokyo and two hilarious plays of Ca$h ‘N Gun$. On a related note, I would love to see Ca$h ‘N Gun$ on the site, as it is a great game!
This will be a slow weekend, gamewise, for me. Bears, Battleship Galaxies, and some other lighter stuff.
Pathfinder!
7 wonders , catan, dominion
Elder Sign, Lords of Waterdeep and DnD Next
Playing with the extended family… Mord Im Arosa and Dixit. Hopefully, we can finally play Mice and Mystics, as we got the game on Friday.
Update:
A lot of rounds of “pig” today along with two rounds of Word on the Street.
Finished off by teaching my nieces and daughter how to play Egyptian Ratscrew.
I was able to play my first game of The Manhattan Project on Thanksgiving. Just a two-player game, but I got a good feel for the game and had a fun time. Hoping to get a larger game in soon.
Well, we don’t get Thanksgiving over here though, oddly, some UK retailers seem to be doing Black Friday deals, which just goes to show something or other. Again no idea what we’ll actually end up playing here, though we have a new copy of Castle Keep, so I expect that’ll get played at some point.
Big Thanksgiving Game Night on Saturday – 12 hours of lots of games! Already played several with the family over the holiday. Thinking of snagging Star Trek Catan this weekend while it’s on sale at Target.
