We recently got Ancient Terrible Things in the mail and are super excited to play it. It should be a nice change up from the deep rules and long playtimes of our current favorite Myth.

I also have to add I managed to get my 1st game of Darkest Night in. I really enjoyed it. That game needs to be added to the database.
The Boy just brought home a big Fed Ex box filled with Kaosball from work. Looks like I need to get sorting and know what I will be posting on tomorrow’s query – whether I want to or not. *eep*
I’m very late for this one, but last weekend was my biggest “game night” yet with over 100 people! We made a 2 min video a couple hours afterward here. I won’t list all the games played this time! 🙂
Played Galaxy Defenders and Seasons.
Well, the only gaming I got in over my long weekend was a few games of Eleminis and a sort of kind of session of Edge of the Empire (it was more character generation for the guy joining our group than actual gaming, which was fine). I talked about Tokaido some, but we didn’t actually play it.
Technically I also finished playing the main story of Pokemon X, but that’s a video game and not a board game, and while my sister was sitting there next to me and occasionally offering suggestions, that isn’t the same thing as playing a game together.
I’m looking forward to getting my copies of Firefly: the game, Firefly: Breaking Atmo, and Big **** Heroes in the mail sometime this week and cracking them open.
I played Black Stories this weekend. An interesting Q-A game which highlights the stupidity of humans in a macabre way. Very enjoyable!
This past weekend was GothCon, the largest gaming convention in all of Sweden. I didn’t get time to play much, but I did demo a lot of games this weekend. 😀
So, all good plans are made to be broken. The games I actually played this weekend…
Lewis and Clark
Climbers
Dragonheart
Fleet
Catan: Dice
Eight Minute Empire
Castle Panic (with expansion)
Bang: Dice
Libertalia
Scalawag!
Rory’s Story Cubes (with my youngest)
Rory’s Story Cubes is not really a game, but I love how it gets my kids telling stories. Cool dice.
Unfortunately didn’t get to play anything this weekend as we went on a road trip. We did bring Hanabi, but never got to play it.
No gaming this weekend with Easter around and great weather to do some work in the garden.
I’ve not been doing so well for games recently, but this weekend gave me a nice upturn, including a two-family trip to the Thirsty Meeples boardgame cafe in Oxford. So overall I got to play Twilight Struggle, Dragonheart, Love Letter, Dungeon!, Om Nom Nom (star game of the weekend and one I must get hold of!), Gold Mine, and Morels.
Our game day had a poor turnout. The three of us played Sentinels of the Mulitverse and got killed badly, then we learned Dungeon Petz and Suburbia. Both were decent games.
FINALLY got my wife and son to play 7 Wonders last night. First thing he said to me this morning? “Can we play 7 Wonders today?” Darn you, housework!!! Get thee done so that I may get back to building the ultimate civilization!
2 runs of Lords of Waterdeep + Undermountain expansion and 2 runs of Carcassonne + the 6 expansions. Tonight I’ve tricked my girlfriend to play Caverna. Hope she likes it!
I’m looking to finally try the Agricola iOS app, which dropped to $0.99 today (Sunday).
Preparing myself for an afternoon of high ambition, low impulse control whilst dressed as a ned in tartan in a tenement block with a body in the top bedroom.
Why yes, I am going to be playing Fiasco.
I’m hoping tomorrow we can squeeze in a trial run of “We Didn’t Play-Test This At All.” The kids will be finding it in a basket in a few hours. ^_^
We played Battlestar Galactica with a number of expansions last night. I hope to play my new Pandemic expansion (In the Lab) Sunday.
Sentinels and a little Dominion. Plus whatever happens tomorrow. It could be anything!
