“Longer 2 player variant”

My girlfriend and I prefer playing the game by using all 3 tiers of temples while only using 2 tiers of shrines and then playing to a relic limit of 8. This stops pathways being created joining everything at once while providing a slightly longer and more in-depth play through.

“Paths are crucial”

The easiest way to score points in the game is by collecting relics as the paths traveled is doubled to give you your points for that move. Try and use ruins as often as you can to get down as many paths as possible and then use the “compass” branch of the toolboxes to manipulate the positioning of the paths to get the longest possible route that you can between relics to maximise scoring.

“Toolbox”

Toolboxes are you friends! However, I suggest not trying to work on 3 different toolbox tech trees at the same time. Stick to one, maybe two, and exploit the heck out of it. I personally like the path that allows you to move known routes. Move them to facilitate more relic runs and watch your opponents fume.
