@ Urosh, Very good question. At first we were holding to the idea that for a digital board game to be included on our site it needed to have a physical version as well. But in the past two years a lot has changed with touch devices. You see games like Hearthstone and Hex that are going to be great games and definite competitors with what Magic: The Gathering has done with its digital games…
So the answer is yes, we will add certain games that only have a digital version, but we’ll be pretty selective in which ones we add because our primary goal is to continue to expand our database of physical board games.
Jim, what are your thoughts about electronic-only games? Are we going to see Hearthstone on the site, for example, or only electronic games that also have a physical version?
Hum… ok Jim.
Thanks for the info.
^^
Will ‘Axis & Allies WWI – 1914’ be added soon? It’s been out a while now. Thanks!
Nice list of games. I am especially anxious to get the DC Comics DBG follow up Heroes Unite!!
Would be great to see Viticulture, another Kickstarter game from this past year. Also getting new games able to be ranked/played (like Zombicide expansions+) would be great – got lots of new ones from GenCon. Thanks – always love these updates!
Thanks for these updates. As for suggestions, how about the Star Wars The Card Game expansions (Hoth Cycle + Edge of Darkness) and the Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures ship expansion packs? Also, for older games, the many expansions for Zooloretto and Power Grid are missing.
So many great games were released at Gen Con!!! We’ll be making a big push to get the site updated with recently released and announced games. Don’t hesitate in these comments to plug the games you’re most excited about!
@Doc Rune_y, just updated this article with Dungeon Roll 🙂
Lovely, lovely LotR cards. It’s some of my favorite art to rummage through in all my board games. Sure, Tales of the Arabian Nights is a prettier game, and Summoner Wars has more evocative and distinct art (whether you love it or hate it), but the art in the LotR card game just fits very well.
Also need a page for AEG’s Romance of the Nine Empires, released at GenCon with a shelf date of Sept. 23rd.
Still waiting for Dungeon Roll to show up. With over 10000 individuals who backed this game on Kickstarter and a strong presence at Gencon, I thought it would have made this site by now.
Can’t wait for The Agents, thanks to advanced warning by Kickstarter.
@ Ricardo, MTG is next on the list 🙂
A lot of LOTR: The Card Game expansions…
And Magic the Gathering???
Great update!
Good to see Storm the castle and the add-ons for Pathfinder ACG here – these are must-haves for me!
Have a nice weekend all!
