“I will build a building...or 2 or 3 or 4”

Especially early in the game, use your opportunities to build the buildings that give you extra camels and extra gold. Then build up those 2 resources to build the buildings that give you an extra cube and an extra 2 points per completed souk.

Those 4 buildings are often essential to winning, especially if an opponent is trying to do the same. The remaining 2 buildings that you could possibly build are often worth constructing just for the bonus points, but if you have better places to score points on the main board, take advantage of them instead.

“Got some extra cash? Buy dice.”

If you have 1-3 extra gold coins that probably won’t be used elsewhere (or even if they might) don’t forget about buying gold/yellow dice on your turn. Those few extra dice can often get you into that elite district where that big 12-point souk is located.
