“Engineers should roll their other station dice at the same time.”

Engineers who run other stations, should just go ahead and roll their dice for other stations along with engineering dice. This saves time having to alternate rolls between stations you manage, and in this game … “Time is of the essence!”.

“Don't forget about crystals to get the die you need!”

Sometimes it’s frustrating to get the die roll you need. That’s why you need to remember that crystals come in handy for getting the results you need, since they let you pick a side of the die you want. This can sometimes be vital at certain points of the game like getting shields up, torpedoes loaded, or sensors set before you opponents beat you to the punch.

“Pair up engineering station with less active station.”

Since engineering is the heart of the space ship, the person running it is going to be very very busy rolling dice. The less players you have, the more stations a player needs to manage. It’s best to pair up a station with the engineer that has less activity.

I find that whoever is handling engineering should either run the tractor beam station or the shields stations. Those tend to be the least active over the long haul of the game.

“Have power crystals ready for warp!”

Space Cadets: Dice Duel can get quite frantic at times. Whether you’re the attacker or attacked when torpedoes are fired, it sometimes comes in handy to have power crystals at hand for the quick warp away. This can give you breathing room to get your shields, sensors, and weapons reloaded if needed.

“Use the expansion sides as wilds”

Until the expansions come out for the game we use that particular side as a wild.
