Raiders of the North Sea - Tips & Strategies

The rules have you set up plunder at each raiding location at the start of the game. We find that players will fully avoid or target specific locations based on this information and there is no risk to raiding. Instead, we will preselect most of the plunder but randomly draw the rest when you raid the location. We went with placing half (rounded up) so that on a location that has 2-3 plunder, you draw one from the bag. Four plunder would have you draw 2 plunder from the bag. This adds some risk that you might get a valkyrie and loose a crew member. Try it out!
