A good key strategy as the Sauron player is to keep your side of the board crowded and don’t move too far forward. Move forward too far and you allow the ringbearer to completely avoid fighting by walking down the other side of the board. Tricksy.
It is hard for Frodo to sneak around in a crowd. There are many times when not moving would be the best move you can make, but unfortunately that’s not possible but you can make use of movement that doesn’t leave you stranded too far on the other side of the board.
