“Don't forget to check your hand after each turn for missing colors”

I don’t know how many times I forget this, but you can refresh your hand at the end of your turn if you don’t have any tiles of the color that is your lowest score! You don’t have to refresh, but sometimes it comes in handy to do it.

“A balanced approach is best”

You may get discouraged because your opponents keep finding that perfect placement to score an Ingenious, but you’ll have the last laugh when they have only a few points in one color while you’ve consistently scored a few points per turn for each color.

“Don't be afraid to go for an 'ingenious' move!”

A balanced approach is great, but keep an eye out to build up for the “ingenious” move. This is where you get the maximum points for a single color. This gives you an extra free move to keep moving the rest of your colors up the score track.

“Save your doubles”

Tiles with two hexes of the same color are very powerful, and shouldn’t be wasted. Resist the temptation to use them early on for an extra point or two – save them until a good area has built up, then cash in for big points.
