This weekend we’ll be taking the upcoming Uncharted: Board Game for a spin. I’ve been a big fan of all three games on the PS3, and look forward to seeing what Bandai has done to bring it to the table! Talking about video games, I’ve gotten hooked on Diablo III so I’ll be playing that late into the nights this weekend as well.
What will you be playing this weekend?
Spent the weekend at Comicpalooza running boardgames.
This weekend was a desert. No gaming. Hope everyone else’s weekend goes better coming up. New month, new start, right?
My new gaming group met for the 2nd time over this past weekend. We tried a coffee shop/bar this time instead of the library. It was epic! We got in some Lords of Waterdeep and a game of Quarriors. Everyone left eager to meet again. Left me feeling pretty great.
Managed to get in two games of SmallWorld and one Nanuk.
@WerrWaaa
I’m jealous! Enjoy!
Legend of the Five Rings CCG all week.
I played some Sequence and 10 Days in Asia – great family stuff with a group of non-gamers who loved them. Sadly we never got to play Poo (probably a good thing in retrospect).
I also spent quite a bit of time playing Conquest! Medieval Realms on my iPad and really enjoyed this turn-based (area control) strategy game — I highly recommend it for a quick intense game! You can ignore the iTunes reviews of crashing problems, it’s since been fixed and never crashed on me after almost 10 hours of playing.
I got in a ton of board gaming over the long weekend (due to the Memorial Day holiday in America) to apparently make up for all those boardgameless weekends.
I played Lords of Waterdeep 3 times with 3 different groups, introducing it to 3 new players, all of whom really enjoyed it. I managed to win all 3 games, which was an added bonus.
We got in our first game of Eclipse, and although we had a terribly rocky start adjusting to the rules (my fault), I feel plenty of enjoyment was had, and it should come to the table more often. I came in dead last in “karmic” retribution for my LoW fortuitousness.
I Keepered my first game of Mansions of Madness using a story created by one of the investigators. There were some issues due to us using an older version of the story, which we were unaware of until afterwards, but it was an overall pleasant experience. I was able to emerge victorious over the puny mortals but am self-attaching an asterisk to that win due to the story issues.
I played Thuderstone Advance: Towers of Ruin 2 player with someone with prior Thunderstone experience and was able to pull out a resounding victory, though we both left the experience feeling that the game still felt a little sluggish at times despite using the new wilderness board. It definitely bears a few more plays to make sure I can get a nice balance of village and dungeon cards to speed up the pace, but my experience so far is that it is a significant improvement over the old rules and cards.
Lastly, we got in a few party games, including a long but massively fun game of Cards Against Humanity, two short (the first being so short that I had only one turn) games of Pirate Fluxxx, and two games of a trivia game whose name I have to self-censor: Smart A__.
All in all, a great long weekend!
Solid weekend of gaming. I played The Resistance (3x), Nanuk, Ticket to Ride: Europe, Super Showdown (3x), Discworld: Ankh-Morpork, and Alien Frontiers.
Been house-shopping this weekend, so not many games played. I did get in 2-3 games of Onirim, and 2 games of Pandemic.
I did get a little more time in on the PS3 too… Trying to wrap-up Uncharted 3.
Excellent set of games Granny.
We started out by bleeding cash in Last Will, pushed some cubes around in Lords of Waterdeep, defended the castle in Castle Panic (w/ expansion), and finished the night winning the race to pull out the 7th survivor before the house collapsed in Flash Point.
Good times!
This weekend I am playing that classic card game ‘Grass’ (which I would love to see reviewed on here). Much hilarity will ensue I’m sure!
No games this weekend. However; my mum, who finds me being a geek for playing games, did a wonderful thing. She bought me Castle Panic today! 😀 I was really happy. I bought the expansion myself. Looks like a fun game. Maybe I`ll try a play through tomorrow… 😉
Cosmic Encounter and pizza with friends. What a blast!
We played several games of Risk: Legacy today. I finally won another round. I tend to roll terribly… makes you start to think “bad luck” is real. We’ll get some Dixit, Takaneko, and King of Tokyo in, I’m sure. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Been playing a lot of the Ascension IOS app recently. I rediscovered asynchronous play, and I’m now I’m addicted all over again. 🙂
I’m also in the middle of a game of Last Night on Earth with my son using the Growing Hunger Expansion for the first time. And, like Wind Lane, I hope to break in my Kickstarted Omen set this week-end, as well (and maybe Hemloch, too).
In an unrelated note, Gencon event registration opened last week-end, so I’ve been really excited about arranging my events there. This will be my first Gencon, and I can’t wait.
So far, I’m planning on sleep. Bad insomnia yesterday meant I’ve only gotten two hours unconsciousness in the last thirty-six hours. When I finally wake up I hope to put my kickstarted copy of Omen to its first use and I’d also like to try out Lords of Waterdeep.
Some Touch of Evil or Attack!
I hope for BattleLore. Possibly A Game of Thrones Board Game.
Nothing particular planned, though Saturday evening is scheduled for the Eurovision Song Contest, which we’ll probably have a bit of a game built around. We also have a trip to the (not so local) FLGS lined up too, so we’ll have to see what we come back with…
