I went to a Heroscape tournament this past Saturday and played four games of Heroscape, which is always a fun time. Afterwards, we stuck around and played Blood Rage, which is my new favorite game. It was an excellent gaming weekend.
Picked up Crisis Expansion 3 for the DC DBG, and incorporated that with Forever Evil. Played one session where we realized we messed up the Crisis rules (always a hazard when coming back to it after too long), then three more between Saturday and Sunday, culminating in finally beating the darn thing once! Next step is trying it out in the Hidden Objectives mode with the new Suicide Squad starting villains.
Recently picked up a used copy of Battlestar Galactica and played it this weekend. Had a great time, even though the cylons won! Also got in a game of Settlers of Catan.
Finally got a copy of Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game. Played through the brief tutorial and one quest. I love the mechanics of this game. It crams so much into what seems to be a few player and monster actions. Everything combines to be something greater than the sum of its parts. Currently, have only played it solo and it works great.
Still trying to bring my non-gaming girlfriend into the fold. Another couple of games of Carcassonne with her and my 11 year old daughter (with The River mini expansion, which is rapidly gaining favour).
Got to play Fauna this weekend. It is a party style trivia game about animals. You guess where they live, how much they weigh, there height, length and/ ot tail length, and you get points if you are in the right range or if you are in the adjacent range. Great game and a good way to learn about animals and geography.
So far this weekend, I’ve played Kulami (a recent abstract, currently published in the US by FoxMind Games), Stephensons Rocket (a brilliant loosely-Acquire-inspired Knizia classic), and Saturn (a lovely old dexterity/balance game from Theta). Unsurprisingly, none of those are in this database!
Got some two player gaming in with Patchwork and Fallen and then played large group with Betrayal at House on Haunted Hill and a little filler of Martian Dice.
I had a gaming day at my home today with some friends, and we got to play a lot of games! We played Mysterium, Big Book of Madness, Codenames twice, then we put on the table small boxes of games to play Codenames that way (very fun!!), Monstermaler twice, Jamaica, and ended the evening with Time`s up! We started the day, two friends and I, with a game about defusing a bomb. Stressful! But a little fun. It was a terrific day!!! 😀
Got Flash Point: Fire Rescue for my birthday last weekend and hoping to try it out. Maybe get in a game Zombicide (original or Black Plague), a quick game or three if Tsuro of the Sea, and maybe a game of Legends of Andor. Might take a trip to one of my FLGS and see what might grab my eye.
This weekend will be dry of board games, but I’ll try to get some people together for a game or three next week during the weekdays, maybe Tuesday or Thursday. And if that’s happening it will be Warhammer Quest that will hit the table most fortunately.
Received an advanced copy of Millennium Blades from Level 99 so that was foisted on my two gaming groups – but ‘Shhhhh’…SECRETS! 😉
We played quite a few games of Smash Up (with the Awesome Level 9000) expansion! Dinosaur/Plants rule!

Played Castles of Burgundy, Samarkand, Musee and Viticulture. They were all awesome!

Played some Descent per usual. Quite a few games of Dominion.
