This weekend me and my crew did a mini championship magic, which use variations of combat, Emperor, individual fighting archenemy super-villain and challenge to individual hydra (Hydra using the deck expansion Theros against each player in a single game).
We use the cards Planechase and Vanguard too.
We also use to be more dynamic in this tournament two decks, one themed guilds of Ravnica and another a tribal deck.
I was not in the first place, but I was proud of my tribal fairy deck that caused headaches to some players and my Azorius deck that managed to force a draw with unbridled locomotive (which was literally running over everyone) Selesnya deck of a player.
X-Hawk- For sure. It’ll be nice to play with real prototype pieces (presumably anyways) and be able to get a good handle on it with someone who can talk me through. I’m excited; however, it’s a little abstract for me without seeing it. It’ll be a good way to get my mind on other things for a bit after the crazy week I’ve had with the great snow and car troubles.
Oh, by the way, don’t worry- my avatar is going back to Constance from Cross Hares: Testing Ground promptly after Draco Magi is funded 😉
Magic the Gathering – though due to being obsessed with The Walking Dead recently, I have built a graveyard deck to take the zombie theme to the obsessive.
Perhaps a spell based deck will be next on the agenda
This weekend we had some K2, Love Letter, Dungeon!, Dobble, and Vampire Empire. These are all great in their own way, but I’m really pleased to have got hold of Vampire Empire, as my wife enjoys it and we can get a pair of games (one each way) played within an hour, which makes it very likely that we’ll play it fairly regularly.
Didn’t get to play any Felds, but Eldritch Horror, King of Tokyo, Sentinels, LotR:LCG, Kings of air and steam and Among the stars all hit the table so pretty good weekend after all.
On Sunday, Feb 16th, I will be playing the Kickstarter Game “Lagoon: Land of Druids.” The creator is in my area and is planning a game day, so I am excited to try it out and let people know what I think of the art and gameplay.
We played another rousing game of Snake Oil which is always hilarious! @jim – would love to see this game added to the database! It is a great party game, especially for those who are fans of (but maybe bored with) Apples to Apples.
GAME NIGHT WEEKEND! Wow, so many games – new and old.
Nothing Personal (with lots of rule issues at the end)
Eclipse (low-scoring beat’em-up affair)
Salmon Run (fun, simple deck-builder race)
Wooly Bully (tile/area control)
Dragon Hoard x2 (gorgeous new card game)
Boggle
Rise of Augustus x2 (BINGO – read my review here)
El Grande (the classic!)
Cash N Gun$ x2
Star Munchkin (very cut-throat)
Ticket to Ride Europe (the best T2R)
Werewolf x3 (villagers dominate first 2, werewolves go untouched in finale)
Blokus x2
7 Wonders + Leaders
Hanabi x2 (strange how fun & stressful this can be)
Keyflower (brain hurting at 1am for this one)
Race for the Galaxy + Alien Artifacts x2 (new cards are great, new cave exploration may be better with more than 2 players)
Colosseum (great, but rules still need improvement)
WHEW – a BLAST! 😀
I’ve played two games of oddball Aeronauts, pretty fun for an extremely light game. Played Lagoon once – so good. Then had my first solo outing of Gears of War which I really enjoyed. Hoping to get in a Takenoko game tonight.
It’s my birthday weekend, so I got in a decent amount of gaming on Saturday (for me, at any rate) and plan to get in some more games this afternoon/evening (Sunday).
Saturday I started with a game of Jaipur, followed by a two-player game of Castle Panic. We eked out a win with a single tower piece standing; it was pretty close! Those two games were followed up by a couple of games of Magic. I also started teaching the basics of Race for the Galaxy to my mother; I hope to be able to play it with her soon (she mentioned Monday).
This afternoon/evening I am hoping to get in a few more games, maybe No Thanks! or Tokaido or Morels. Possibly another game of Jaipur or a game of Race for the Galaxy. We’ll see what happens.
Got some 2 player King of Tokyo, Takenoko, and Coup with @stonewondersofcatan. Hoping to get some games in tomorrow as well. Odd of Coup hitting the table…very high.
I see that DC Comics DBG: Heroes Unite is on the upcoming games! Now just have to wait for The Doom That Came To Atlantic City.

Speaking at Cryptozoic, time does not play my Walking Dead board game.
@grand_dragon79
It would be great if you shared some thoughts after playing Lagoon. I’d really like to hear about it;)
And cool avatar btw…

Played Star Trek: Attack Wing and Takenoko (both with 2 players) on Friday.
Pathfinder the card game
Star Trek Fleet Captian

Great gaming weekend where I won every game I played. AGOT: LCG – 4-player variety. SW: LCG – 2vs2 variety. Rampage. Kittens in a Blender.
And for once, a multiple game day was fully recordable on Boardgaming.com because EVERY game is in the database. Bonus win!
