Thursday was game night for the guild and I got to play a 4 player game of Ghost Stories & Dwarven Miner. I also participated in a 5 player game of Revolution.
I returned home from a week-long vacation to find Heroes Wanted waiting for me… I probably won’t get to play it until next weekend though.
The only game played on vacation was Coin Age (which arrived with 2 other TMG microgames right before I left). We played it around 20 times over the week since it only takes about 5 minutes… but we liked it so much we never even got to the other 2 games.
We ended up trying our new copy of Love Letter: Kanai Factory and had fun figuring out the combinations, great filler game that will hit the table often I’d imagine. Also taught a family Bohnanza after convincing them planting beans could be fun.
Bummed I couldn’t get my copy of Resistance: Avalon on the table, instead people elected classic games. Not a big game weekend but fun none-the-less.
Big weekend of games!
Cypher
Pandemic Contagion
Love Letter
Dragon Slayer
Coup
Mice and Mystics
flapjacks and Sasquatches
King of Toyko
Sushi Go

We were at the READING music festival (UK) and took with us Arctic Scavengers, zombie dice, love letter, lost legacy starship & Once upon a time. which were played each morning before setting out for the day.
Played Dutch Blitz, Battle of the Sexes, Crokinole about 5 times, Telestrations, X-wing, Resistance 3 times, Sun, Sea & Sand, Lords of Waterdeep, and Puerto Rico between my two gaming events this weekend.
Three newish games debuted at our game night, none of which are on Boardgaming.com:
Ninja Dice (Greenbrier Games; been out for a while from its Kickstarter) Valley of the Kings (unique deckbuilder from AEG) Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem (Gale Force Nine)
@Kaleb Happy Birthday! Gaming and cake is a good celebratory combination.
@Budgie Some quick thoughts on Heroes Wanted (since there is no BGdot listing *hint hint*) We played the suggested first time set-up and then a general game of the first scenario board. For a first timer KS – components were top shelf. Moreover the game was fun! That’s the key word – it’s a fun game. After spending last weekend splashing around in puddles of angst and strategy with Dead of Winter and Sentinel Tactics – this was just a fun ‘Whack-a-mole’ to highest victory points. This is a game of wannabe heroes so there isn’t a deep cape theme like Sentinels – you just suit up and start racing around pounding baddies trying to be top hero. The ‘paper doll’ heroes/villains work well and the action vs defense use of a static hand of cards is interesting, and just enough ‘strategy’ in trying to figure out how to amass the most fame points on a given turn without taking a pounding yourself. I can see why this got some good GenCon love.
And now – the Final Chapters of Pathfinder ACG: Rise of the Runelords await…
Planning on playing some Super Dungeon Explore, Ninjas vs. Ninjas, and Last Night on Earth. Will also be painting some Rivet Wars miniatures as well as miniatures from Mice & Mystics.
Finally, FINALLY got to play Lords of Waterdeep yesterday and ended up playing three times, followed by a quick round of Takenoko which has oddly gotten a bit boring when it hits the table.
We’re heading to a small gathering of friends today and bringing along Sheriff of Nottingham and Shadows Over Camelot.
Our first test of Spielbound gaming after spending 10 hours cleaning. We got in several good ones:
Concordia, Five Tribes, Spin Monkeys, Shadow Hunters, Copycat, Chicken Caesar.
Great way to celebrate my birthday!
So far I’ve gotten in one game of Gravwell, two of Pandemic (we won both times!), one of 10 Days in Africa, and a quick game of Smash Up! Most gaming I’ve done in way too long.
Might get a game of Dead of Winter in but definitely some Sentinel Tactics in skirmish mode.
Tonight will be tabletesting Heroes Wanted which just arrived from the Kickstarter. (Looks very professional – always happy when KS projects don’t look like they were slapped together in the back of Staples)
Sunday: The Pathfinder Six gathers to maybe possibly finish Sins because like @Budgie we are excited to get both shackled and skulled in the near future.
Played
Abyss
Sheriff of Nottingham

Fortune and Glory and DungeonQuest should hit the table.

Actually got more gaming than I expected- a few quick games of Tsuro and a great 3hr Eldritch Horror with Forsaken Lore expansion.

@Hai – Looking forward to your thoughts on Heroes Wanted. Mine’s set to arrive this coming week!

The Dominion family finally gave Core Worlds a try. We got Lords of Waterdeep in as well. Yesterday we played Star Trek Catan and Monopoly Deal.
