It’s time to get back into our adventures with Myth! We’re going through the story quests, and now that a lot of extra support material has been released by Megacon Games we feel like we’ve got a good grasp on the gameplay and can just enjoy our adventuring.

Played Game of Thrones (2nd Ed) for the first time, and it was a disaster. Totally my fault, I hadn’t learned the rules properly, and my explanation of them to my fellow newbies was atrocious. This resulted in the first turn taking 45 minutes.
My wife has now sworn never to touch it again, even though she LOVES GoT. I’m massively disappointed in myself.
Star Realms and Lewis and Clark.
@ MLawless – I’ve been playing a lot of Battle for Souls too since I received it for backing Draco Magi. I like it a lot more than I was expecting. The application of the theme is great and supports the symmetrical mechanics of hand management and area control but also asymmetrical actions of either side’s “action cards” (relics, sins, intercessions). I’d love to read your review of the game and hope it’s added to the database soon.
Played two games of Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small and one game of Wildlife.
The Journey to Nyx pre-release on Saturday was a lot of fun, and I’m glad I got to participate in it. I only started going to pre-release events relatively recently, and so far they seem to be just the right balance of casual and competitive for me.
In addition to lots of Magic, I got in a game of Cardfight! Vanguard and was introduced to Buddy Fight, which is a pretty new CCG from the same company. All told, it was a really fun Saturday.
We played Lords of Waterdeep first. We both almost lapped the board twice; high point game with only 2 points between winner and loser. We moved on to Android: Netrunner where the Corp managed to just eek out victory over the runner, who was suffering from Brain Damaage after a Stimhack. We rounded out the evening with a relaxing game of Alhambra where phantom player Dirk nearly won the day by collecting 6 towers… Great Sunday of playing games with just the two of us 🙂
Success! I managed to get in one game of Tokaido and a couple quick rounds of Magic: The Gathering with the lady. Then, on Sunday, I got to play two one-shot RPGs with friends: ACTION CASTLE, a silly 80s text pareser-style game; and The Quiet Year, a game about conflict and decision-making within a community at the end of its life!
I played MTG and Trollhalla.
I definitely played nothing this weekend. I had the opportunity, but for some reason absolutely no desire.
A couple of games of Tichu yesterday after a 5 player of King of Tokyo. The second Tichu game was quite weird and lasted about 12-13 rounds. The other team called tichu or grand all but 2 rounds and made only 3 regular Tichus.
Just played Rivet Wars for the first time. What a great fun game!
Played in the Jorney to Nyx pre-release yesterday
With any luck, 7 Wonders- and also we may be trying Sentinels of the Multiverse for the first time. But I’m usually wrong, so we will find out in like half an hour 🙂
Hopefully SotM, Citadels, and whatever else I can get my friends to play. May be a slow weekend for me.
Planning to take The Doom That Came To Atlantic City out for a spin!
Arkham Horror, Big time, with 8 players
So far, lots of Sentinels.
Something co-opy (is that a word?)
Something dexterous
Something involving deception
Something lengthy
or
nothing at all 🙁
Freedom!
I’m attending FOPcon today and registered to play Police Precinct, Cosmic Encounter, and Firefly.
