This is the only game in my collection I rate a 10 on BGG. The combination of worker placement and area control along with great miniatures and an approachable ruleset make this one my group’s favorite. We regularly play with two adults and three teenagers, and while the adults win the lion’s share of the games due to superior planning, the kids make a game of it and win some as well.

Cannot recommend highly enough. A fantastic game.

Way too simplistic for my tastes. I enjoy dice games, but the lack of depth on this really spoils it for me (Troyes, Alien Frontiers, Castles of Burgundy are all much more sophisticated). I enjoy light games, but this one has limited re-playability in comparison to others (7 Wonders, Hanabi and Bohnanza are all examples of light games I find very enjoyable).

The dice in the copy I played seemed to be very difficult to read as well. The cards were of fairly good stock and the artwork was pretty cool. The metal tin the 1st edition came in one pretty nifty, too. It’s a shame they stopped using it.
