Get your marine to level up to Grenadier Skill as soon as possible! With Grenadier Skill, the marine gets to take 3 different grenades into battle and it doesn’t count towards the mission device limits! Extra grenades with area damage, baby!

This rule is recommended by the designers just after the game was released. It’s called “High Impact Rule”. A defender can not roll more than 5 dice at a time. This makes it sweet when you lay in an awesome attack with 8 or 9 hits with your sniper, and you don’t have to worry about the alien rolling all shields to block. Also, works against you, but that’s rare when unless you’re fighting something like a Nexus.
