We’ll be venturing in the dark corridors of Level 7 [escape]. We didn’t survive the second scenario when we played last week so we’ve been anticipating tonight’s game night. If we don’t spend all night with that, we’ll also be playing some Smash Up by AEG.
Anyone trying out games that were released at Gen Con or PAX? Another question we wanted to throw out there… how many nights a week do you play board games, and do you mix it up with family game nights and gaming group nights?
DM’d my DnD4E campaign, Railways PbF game picked up steam (snicker), & Flash Point: Fire Rescue (sorry so late adding these, was busy writing songs about our brave firefighters’ exploits!)
Some DnD 4e then some kingdom builder and some thunderstone advance. Still need to play some dungeon command.
Just bought Thunderstone Advance (and thanks to some alcoholic persuasion the Caverns of Bane expansion), and played that for the first time on Friday.
Monday night, we got in King of Tokyo, Trajan, Flash Point, and another shot at the unpublished Prototype we played on Saturday.
I played some Magic the gathering, World War II game, as well as some Desent Journey into the dark second edition. I also got a geme of Seargeants in
I was able to watch a game of Eclipse last weekend. Does that count?
I played some RPG, D-Day Dice, Infiltration, and Warhammer Invasion.
Played some Lords of WaterDeep this weekend. And I tend to pop into my fraternity and randomly try and get people to play stuff. Happens whenever I’m in the mood and don’t have too much homework. Though it *is* hard to get people to play the longer, more involved games.
And I have a weekly D&D session with friends.
2 games of Bang! and that’s about it. Was a busy, hectic weekend. Next weekend looks to be more of the same…
I got in three games of D-Day Dice this week-end and one game of Thunderstone, along with approximately 49.5 IOS games of Summoner Wars and Ascension. I’m still enjoying D-Day Dice. It has a nice, thematic mix of resource management and dice-rolling. It also works well solo, but it can be tough on some of the maps.
Netrunner!
I played as many games as I could squeeze in this weekend! It was just as good as I had hoped. I won a few and lost a few. The Corp hasn’t won in any of our games yet, but I think corp strategy is a little tougher to get a handle on.
Picked up Lost Cities, Dominion, and Ticket to Ride. Unfortunately, the lady only wanted to learn Lost Cities (and was resistant to that as well).
I found a new-in-shrink copy of Can’t Stop at a flea market for $5.
I was so excited with this find, brought it home and excitedly asked my wife to play it with me – she played once, declared it sucked, and that was that.
I played about 8 more times online instead >:(
Was happy to get some Lords of Waterdeep onto that table last night during the Pitt/Denver game. Two good games! Also, I won with the help of a few tactics I learned here on the site. Thanks guys!
Oh well, as usual the plans came to nought. However, I ended up playing draughts with my daughter (I need to reduce the handicap I give her as I don’t stand a chance!) and, at her insistence, started teaching her chess. We played a couple of games of “see how long it takes you to catch my king” with various pieces so she could explore how they worked, and then she started playing some simple knights move puzzles. All good fun.
Settlers of Catan and Zombicide with my girlfriend, Memoir ’44 with my little bro.
@Kaleb If you look under the Games drop down… the link to the Add Game Info form is at the bottom. It still takes time for the games to go live, but at least you know the game is in the queue. Torres and Mr. Jack Pocket are both most excellent.
Got in a game of Nightfall, Founding Fathers (needs to be on here) and an unpublished prototype for an impromptu session today.
I just played Torres and Mr Jack Pocket, both great 2-player games (and neither in the system here, yet). Hope you can add them – let me know if I can help. Later on will be Resistance!
Just whipped out some Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective. Really, the best detective game around. Also, played some Mr Jack: New York.
