It’s more Galaxy Defenders for us this weekend. We’ve been having a blast with learning it and now want to take it to the next level and play through the story while leveling up our characters, their skills and weapons.
What are you playing this weekend?
Almost certainly some Cards Against Humanity, and possibly some Carcassonne. Wish me luck!
I got in a few really tense and close games of Flash Point with my parents. I think this is the fifth game I’ve taught them, and they loved it. It was nice to play something other than King of Tokyo (their favorite) with them.
A good mix this weekend:
-Sentinels of the Multiverse
-Dixit
-Betrayal at the House on the Hill
-Jumpers
-Blueprints
-Hanabi
Thursday to Sunday gaming trip to a cabin. 8 of us and nothing but gaming with rain and thunder outside.
Thursday: Through the Ages and Galaxy Defenders
Friday: Belle of the ball, Cardline animals, Red November, Galaxy Defenders, Mage Knight, Twilight Struggle, Middle Earth Quest and Resistance *3
Saturday: Tzolkin, Ghost Stories, Voluspa, Bang the dice game *4, Dune and Dungeon Fighter *3
Sunday: Through the Ages, Galaxy Trucker, Ghost Stories, Bang (Dice)*2, Betrayal at house on the hill, Galaxy Defenders and Bedpants and broomsticks.
Very good weekend 🙂
Surprise, surprise! Seasons for me!
Not much gaming this weekend, only an epic game of Krosmaster
Mostly new games this weekend:
Caverna
Five Tribes
Diamonds
Roll for it!
Lost Legacy, the star ship
Diamonds and Caverna are great games that I look forward to playing again. Five tribes was a little mixed results for me I wan to play it again and see if it was Tue game or the crowd.
[Edit] We used Start Player Express to decide who was going first for Caverna. It is a fun alternative to just rolling dice and only takes a little more time.
Today played some Memoir 44 and won, then played game of Lords of the Waterdeep and expansion in afternoon with my wife and won. It’s a win win day! Pleasant games, pleasant company, and good food, can’t go wrong!
Went to Game Summit in Ottawa and scored a copy of the latest Smash Up expansion, and an ultra cheap copy of Trains. Then we played only games we had never played before: Flash Point, Thurn and Taxis, Phantom Society, Castle Panic, Race for the Galaxy, Blueprints and Village. We also demo’d a game from a couple of local game designers that takes Rock Paper Scissors and makes it a bit of a strategic bluffing game. Overall, a fantastic day of gaming!
Let’s see, no Alien Frontiers, but I did get in quite a few rounds of Star Realms. Also, Once Upon a Time: Storytelling Card Game, For Sale, and Apples to Apples: Kids.
Phew! Just won a game of Guildhall 20-19-19…
Just some City of Remnants this weekend.
Just got my copy of Shadowrun: Crossfire so planning to learn how to play. So far I had 5 runs. I’ll try to squeeze in a few more later today.
Always playing a little bit of Lords of Waterdeep, but if I’m lucky I might get some Pathfinder ACG in as well.
Saturday morning was completely monopolized by Legendary Encounters. We played through the first scenario twice and the second scenario once. Just with these scenarios there is an incredible amount of replay value and we haven’t even dabbled with random objectives, hidden agendas, or alien players! I’m really pleased with this one and was surprised at how well the mechanics (both old and new) complemented the new theme.
This morning will either be more Legendary Encounters or, if it ends up being my brother and I, The Battle of Five Armies. I need some revenge after the Free Peoples lost three settlements and the Front Gate before the Lord of the Eagles could be roused from the Aerie. Another fantastic game with some of the strongest integration of theme I’ve seen.
Tried to play Miskatonic school for Girls, ugh, nightmare rules I’m guessing were badly translated. Also played Chrononauts a great little card game we really enjoyed. I’m hoping to get in a game or two tomorrow but life is a little crazy now that we are all in school here.
My weekend started off with some chaotic 7-player lunchtime 7 Wonders at work, progressing into a night of Eldritch Horror . Capping it all off with testing of Agricola: All creatures big and small as I’m deciding whether or not it will make a good travel game for me and my wife.
Happy gaming to all!
I have some old friends coming over that I haven’t really played games with so I’m not sure what will end up hitting the table. I’m hoping Among the Stars and Sushi Go as I just picked those up but we will see.
Off out shortly to meet a friend and hopefully play Five Tribes, Rocket Age, The Manhattan Project, and possibly Elevenses.
So far I’ve played some, Star Realms, Tokaido, Love Letter, Great Heartland Hauling Company (good start). I’m hoping for some Guildhall, and Lords of Waterdeep too, and if we get the time, Mice and Mystics chapter four.
