Tonight is FGCU’s Hobby Game Club’s Halloween party, so Werewolf will be played. Saturday is my birthday and there is a Numenera demo game going on at my FLGS, we will also be playing 2 Rooms and a Boom and hopefully more for a day of gaming goodness.
Sunday is our Horror Games and Movies party: 3 game tables 2 large screens with movies.
Games on deck:
Dead of Winter
Mansions of Madness
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Last Night on Earth
Letters From Whitechapel
Elder Sign
Gloom
Zombie Dice
I Hate Zombies
Finally got a chance to get a play of Steampark in this past weekend and we absolutely loved it. We also played some old favorites with friends. With any luck, we’ll be able to introduce another couple to the wonderful world of gaming this Saturday.
Played a slightly modified version of spooky stairs with my girlfriend and our 4 year old trying to get him into gaming as well as a round of farm yatzy. He seemed to enjoy both and even stayed interested throughout the yatzy game which I had no expectations he would.
A couple swashbuckling scenarios of Pathfinder ACG: Skull & Shackles, a few rolls around town with Machi Koro, lots of clipping, sanding, and gluing as we continue to assemble Space Hulk (To have it possibly ready by this next weekend??? I hope so.), and some great Lord of the Rings LCG scenarios (The Stone of Erech and A Shadow of the Past)!
I learned Cosmic Encounter with two 3 player games. Not a bad game if you like negotiations. Probably need more players to thoroughly enjoy this one. Also learned love Letter. That was not as gay as I thought it would be. And finally got in a game of Marvel Legendary and the players won! Now back to NFL football on TV!!
I had friends over yesterday, so we busted out Gravwell for a quick warm-up. Then, we moved on to Zombicide, which I haven’t busted out in well over a year! We started with the Tutorial mission for a refresher, then played a regular one. We had a blast, and managed to pull off a win. Finally, we wrapped up the night with two games of Hanabi, squeaking by with 18 points each time. Good times!
It’s Gaelcon this weekend, so I want to try new games! So far I played: Space Hulk: Death Angel Love Letter Lost Legacy Forbidden Island Coup The Great Dalmuti Power Grid Lords of Waterdeep
Today some friends are coming over for a Lord of the Rings: The Card Came bonanza. We will revisit the “Shadows of Mirkwood” cycle and try to get through all six quests in a single day. Oh joy!
