This weekend we will be testing our wits in the Mage Wars arena. We’ll also be working together to help save a kingdom in peril as we venture through the world of Mice and Mystics!
What adventures will you be going on this weekend?
Finally recuperated from a 5 day gaming marathon at BGGCon. Wow! Games I loved-Keyflower; Tweeeet; Zooloretto Wurfelspiel; Escape:Curse of the Temple;Pirate Dice; Defenders of the Realms: Battlefields. Games I liked enough to add to my collection in the future-Empires of the Void; Fairies Rule, Goblins Drool; Spellbound; Seasons. Games I will play again-Pamplona; Robinson Crusoe; Clash of Cultures; Hooyah. Biggest disappointment-Fallen City of Karnaz.
Just found out we are gaming on Saturday! Hoping to get in Some Resident Evil Deck Building, Infiltration, and Spartacus!! But we have so many choices we will see how the day goes 🙂
Man, was this a great gaming weekend: introduced my friends to King of Tokyo, The Resistance, Citadels, Last Night on Earth, and Ticket to Ride. Good times!
@Losarus Exactly right. Thanksgiving means family game time! It’s always a fun time figuring out what games the young and the old relatives would like to play. We can always rely on pinochle or liar’s dice, but I like to bring something new each year to keep all of our synapse’s firing well. 😉 I’m thinking Flash Point, For Sale, Kingdom Builder, and possibly Dominion or 7 Wonders.
Thanksgiving weekend…game time. Gonna teach Netrunner and hopefully play it until 4am all weekend. Definitely Bang! (family favorite at the holiday) Ticket to Ride, Quarriors and maybe…just maybe…pull out the old Password….the little sleeves with red windows to read the Password. Classic.
Sunday, played PITCH CAR at a friend’s house (4 times!)
Monday, at our weekly Game Group Meet-Up, I played: INCAN GOLD (we’re obsessed with it all of a sudden, lol), KEYFLOWER (1st time, interesting game!), and SHADOWS OVER CAMELOT (w/ Merlin’s Company exp, our Good Guys won!)
Man some of the games people have said they played this past weekend Im just so jealous! I was at a mini board game convention and I demoed Fresco all day I think I played 8 or 9 full games…Its a good game but I don’t think I will be playing it again lol
Went to same b-day church party and sat with Player 1 Yellow most of the night. So Fluxx, Fear & Greed, and Incan Gold were new games for me to try. Yspahan, TransAmerica, and Hey That’s My Fish were repeats.
@Player 1 Yellow: I think it is because TransEurope was published in 2005 (the site’s “cutoff”) whereas TransAmerica was first published in 2002. There isn’t anyway to submit the game even though it is still a pretty current title.
One of our game group (NWIBGA) members had a BDay Party with members of her church and invited us too! The cake and cupcakes were awesome!
I played: FEAR & GREED (a mathy so-so Stock Market filler card game), INCAN GOLD (very cool game!), HEY, THAT’s MY FISH! (always fun), YSPAHAN (been wanting to try it and was NOT disappointed), TRANSAMERICA (fun! how is Trans Europa on this site and not TA…?), and RAILWAYS OF THE WORLD (E.US, still my #1 game system). Great fun!!
Lots of Smash Up and Ascension: Return of the Fallen (as a 2p standalone) over the last few days. We’re enjoying both very much & excited about the mailman bringing us Chronicle of the Godslayer in a couple days.
This week has been nice, mostly couse of two new for me games. I just finished playing Android and Carson City. Whole week I’ve been wating to play the first one and didn’t get disappointed 🙂 The second was a nice finishing touch though.
Geeks Go Gaming (a regular meet up in Dublin, Ireland, for boardgames) is taking place tomorrow. So getting a few games of Call of Cthulhu the Living Card Game, a game or two of Android:Netrunner, also bringing along Cargo Noir to play, and throwing Gloom in the bag just in case there is a chance of a game.
Will also get to see what other games people bring to see what I end up playing.

I really want to pick up Mice & Mystics, but the Holidays are putting the pinch on the games budget;)
Shadow Hunters w/ expansion, Dominion with Dark Ages expansion, couple rounds of 7 Wonders, and a couple of rounds of For Sale.
UNO! (again)
This weekend was DnD Next beta tests as well as a few rounds of Elder Sign
Thunder stone advanced with both expansions and Magic the Gathering
Just got Level & and Fleet….Now which to play first?
A couple of rounds of Dominion.

Settlers of Catan: Cities & Knights this time instead of Axis & Allies!
