This weekend we’ve got family in town so we’ll probably pull out the cards for some classic Hand and Foot. Maybe even bring out the Catan games if we’ve got the time.
@Lone Token Awww that’s sweet! 🙂 I remember my days of my Dads being a big goofball and carefully selecting ‘good’ games from his collection when we wanted to play at sleepovers and birthdays 🙂 Good times – I’m sure you made some happy memories.
@Cyberman Apparently Epic Spell Wars has been discovered with its recent surge in popularity and new expansion. The face melting – well that’s the best part of a trip to Mt. Skullzfyre
@inmarg I really need to give this Deus a whirl to find out what the Deus it is all about
@Doc Runey Hope you had fun at Origins! Any good tales to share?
My son has been visiting this week so we’ve hit the cards and cardboard. So far we’ve played Harbour, Zombicide: Prison Outbreak and 3 games of Run, Fight or Die. Today is my first day at Origins Game Fair. It should be a busy 3 days.
Had a great weekend at UK Games Expo and played quite a few games, including a bunch from small, indie publishers. Rather taken with “Safebreaker”, which is a cute social deduction game. Of mainstream games, I was particularly pleased to have a go at Last Will, which has a very silly theme, but is actually quite a serious and thinky game. Good stuff though.
I know, I know, I’m a little late posting… Blah, blah, blah. It was a busy weekend (fun-filled, I might add) but I did manage to sneak in some gaming time, too. Since I’m totally addicted to The Walking Dead TV series, and I’m in the middle of Season 3, I felt it only natural to play The Walking Dead Board Game every free minute I had. And, just last night while shopping for some birthday presents I stumbled upon The Walking Dead Dice Game. I must admit, I never realized such game existed. You might surmise by now, I just HAD TO BUY IT! Haven’t played it yet but I’ll keep you posted when I do. Now, it’s Monday……..
Started with a 2 point win in Deus, before finishing second in Subdivision with all 3 within 7 points of each other. Finally we got smashed on a submarine in Flash Point when it collapsed after we nearly made an incredible comeback.
The weekend is over, for all intents and purposes. We played two games of Dead of Winter and one of Lords of Waterdeep. We won Dead of Winter for the first time since we figured out all of the things we were doing wrong before. It was awesome!
My daugther wanted to play boardgames with her friends for her birthday so we introduced them to the hobby and played Ticket to Ride, The Hare and the Tortoise, Colt Express and Camel Up.
Played Takenoko and a few games of Antidote with my other half. He’s not big into games, but he’ll usually play a game or two with me in the morning on weekends, since he’s nice like that. 🙂
Back from UK games expo in Birmingham, we bought and played sushi go & boss monster. Also acquired the expansion cards for snake oil to play at a later date. Was a good show, failed to get machi koro the harbour as it sold out in the trade hall. Also picked up the new UK magazine TABLETOP GAMING which is very good!
I am playing my new favorite game: Dice Masters!!! I have two Marvel teams and three DC teams that go head to head with each other and make very interesting battles!!

Wasn’t sure what I wanted to play. Ended up having my face melted off in Epic Spell Wars. Was fun!

It was a great weekend
I played some Pathfinder ACG on Friday night with some friends. Also squeezed in a late night game of Munchkin on Saturday night.
Played Takenoko and a few games of Antidote with my other half. He’s not big into games, but he’ll usually play a game or two with me in the morning on weekends, since he’s nice like that. 🙂
@Hai – I didn’t read Jim’s intro on Friday, so I read your comment and thought “don’t know what she’s going for here…”.
Just read his message, now I can’t stop laughing…
