Got to play some Super Dungeon Explore and then filled in with a little Diamonds, then later Friday night got into some Red Dragon Inn and lost by only getting drunk, no one hit me and took my fortitude down at all.
We participated in the first local Pandemic tournament as part of the revived local comic/hobby convention through the library. Unfortunately the black plague exploded over the Middle East causing us to be knocked out first, but we did manage to eradicate blue and cure yellow! Small consolation.
A few games despite celebrating my cousins 40th birthday.
2*2 games of Rolling Japan on the ferry. I was the one Elida beat by three points in the game of Sheriff of Nottingham. Finally my cousin got XCOM as a present and I got to teach him before we left on Sunday.
So not exactly what I expected but still a good family gaming weekend:
2x Mysterium…everybody likes this one
4x The Hare and the Turtoise…definitly a family winner
1x Survive: escape from Atlantis
3x Tsuro of the Seas… when it gets late the only game we can play very tired
1x Forbidden Desert
5x Zombie Dice: my nephews weekend favorite game
A lot a snowshoes and snowball battle between games
Already been a huge board gaming weekend! Smash Up, Tsuro, Star Realms, Hanabi, Zombicide, Dominion, Small World, Love Letter, and Sheriff of Nottingham have already been played! Next on the list is Ghost Stories, Burgundy, maybe Arkham Horror, we’ll see what else.
Planning to get some games of Star Realms in while the baby naps. Going to a birthday party where there will be Wits and Wagers and other party games going on.
Also going to Ikea which is sort of like moving around a real life board game? Goal: acquire as much furniture and meatballs as you can.
My partner is introducing me to a couple that she met recently and they’re avid board gamers. I have the opportunity to play Zombicide, which I really want to try, or Arkham Horror, which doesn’t appeal to me as much (primarily due to th lengthy play time), but I may not get another chance to play this 4 hour beast of a game. Any suggestions?
Got it a play of Imperial Assault campaign mission tonight after a 3 week or so hiatus. YAY!
Thought we were going on a side mission to rescue either Skywalker or Han Solo – YAY! Wound up going on a forced mission because that’s how the Imperial Player wants to play things – BOO!
Lost to the mysterious countdown timer (again!) – BOO! (It is a little hard to tag the chap you are supposed to tag with pistol fire when he hides for 3 rounds in a little nook behind a wall of Imperial Guards that soak damage because they are hanging with their besties. GRRR!) I’m beginning to be boggled by how Rebel Playtesters managed to race around the map and accomplish what they needed to do against the Death (Star) Clock.
The killing joke being the whole endgame point was to prevent Herr Imperial from getting his mitts on a very powerful ability card and Team Rebel would have got absolutely nothing for a win (This was relayed with much standard gloating.) It is going to be an uphill climb for Team Rebel for the next mission or two. I don’t think my strongly worded letter to ‘Guy in Charge of Rebel Intel who Makes sure our Squad always sets down 3 Spaces from Enemy Forces who move rather deftly in those Armored Boots they Sport’ reached his inbox.
Probably at least one more game of Scoville. Played some Alhambra tonight. Not sure what else we’ll get in this week, but I’m good with just about anything.
We will be playing “Lords of Waterdeep” and “Elder Signs”. In addition we will probably play up to three other games as the amount of time each game takes will not take up the whole evening. among those games might be “Fluxx” or one of the many games we have at our disposal.
And remember as W.W. would say “Play More Games”.
Finished up Pathfinder S&S yesterday. That should be 100+ plays of Pathfinder (both versions) in about 9 months.
My cousin is celebrating his 40th birthday tomorrow so not much gaming this weekend, maybe we can get a few games in of One Night Werewolf at the party 😉
Have a group of “party” gamers coming over, hopefully will get some meatier fair played as well. Hoping to try Ares Project for the first time and maybe the lighter Jamaica.

Lyzzie,I too played Hanabi (badly)this weekend. It’s such a cool idea. I wish I were not cursed with poor short term memory. 🙂
I played Hanabi (still no perfect score) and Forbidden Island aaallllllllll weekend long.
Gamer Bling Expansion #2 had a jones for Thunderstone Advance this weekend, so we got in several plays of that.

I played Sheriff of Nottingham today. I won it, too, by three points! 😀

We will be playing Railways of the World Great Britain, Frances Drake, and Upon a Fable. If there is time, maybe Chrononaughts!

Sheriff Of Nottingham will be on our table this weekend. As well as Bohnanza with a few expansions. Enjoy the weekend!
