This weekend will be a “favorites” weekend. Rather than trying a new game we’re going to play some favorites. My votes will be for Ancient Terrible Things or Flash Point: Fire Rescue… we’ll see what happens!
Spent the weekend at Callaway Gardens in a villa with family. Got about 7 games in over the weekend. Over half of the Qwirkle with some Ticket to Ride. Good times by all.
I’m playing a lot of Star Realms lately. I noticed it is not on the site, but it needs to be (in a big way). This is a fantastic little deck builder. It’s hard to find at the moment, but a reprint is on the way. Get it before it sells out! One box is for two players, but you can get 3 boxes to play up to six. Granny recommends this little gem highly. Get it. Period.
We played the first chapter of Mice and Mystics on Friday, then introduced some friends to Alhambra and Lords of Waterdeep with the Undermountain expansion on Saturday. First time playing those two games with 6 players, unbelievable how the dynamics change going from 2 to 6!
Rocked some Marvel Dice Masters (local game store event got a teamwork card), also played Adventure Maximus with my son, got my hands on D&D next Starter box.
Argh… the girlfriend and I played a game of Robinson Crusoe last night. Just the first scenario, because it’s been a while. We had the massive misfortune of randomly running into the event that stops you from producing any wood for a turn, which cost us what would have been a last-turn win. Ouch.
On Friday night we introduced Incan Gold and Rack-O to some friends.
Saturday night we played several card games for the first time, Dutch Blitz was one of them I enjoyed, several rounds of Incan Gold and King of Tokyo and finished with the fastest game of Pony Express I’ve ever played (it was a one sided beat down).
I also ordered KoT:Power Up & Splendor which should be here Wednesday and ready for next weekend.
Ah – games night at our local board game store – found a couple of new ones – Castellan and Pyramix are great fun, as well as having another initial look at Descent!
Since I’m staying at home with my fiancée who hates games, there won’t be too many games played this weekend, however I am definitely playing a solo game of Elder Sign, and she promised she´d play one round of Munchkin Zombies! So the two of them!
There was a sale at The Wizard’s Chest (my FLGS) and I picked up Krosmaster Arena and Nexus Ops. I’ve been holding off on both for awhile but I couldn’t hold back when they’re 40% off! So that’s probably my weekend right there. I’m running dummy games tonight so I can teach them tomorrow. Yay!
Game day on Sunday, but we’ve already started with Say Bye to the Villains, and Seventh Hero. On Sunday, we’ll pull out all the stops.
Update: My two sons both soundly beat me at Love Letter. We are using the 5 Rings edition, but the completest in me wants to get the original Kanai Factory edition. I haven’t played it for awhile, so I was reminded how fun it can be. Clever little game. These AEG small box games are really good…
Love Letter
Sail to India
Say Bye to the Villains
Valley of the Kings
Cheaty Mages
Seventh Hero (bigger box, but still a small card game)

Seasons.
We played Terra Mystica on Friday night and a Prison Outbreak scenario for Zombicide on Saturday night. Both were great fun.

New stuff this weekend. Dominion: Dark Ages, Rampage, and Timeline were played. We will learn and try out Core Worlds this coming week.
I managed to play Ivor the Engine, which is a lovely little boardgame.

Since we’ve been playing non-stop Battlelore 2.0, this weekend we decided to bust out Lords of Waterdeep, Qwirkle, Love Letter and Survive.
My son and i played a game of Merchants and Marauders (his first), and he loved it. I’m hoping to get in another game this week-end.
Kicked off the weekend with some City of Iron and Love Letter, and looking to round out the weekend with a large game of Coup tomorrow.

Finally, our monthly game night is Saturday. With 6 people, we will likely play Avalon, Bang! TDG, and hopefully put Libertalia on its maiden voyage.

I hope to get game of Fortune & Glory and maybe some Star Wars X-wing….maybe Pandemic?
I will be playing D&D:Lords of Waterdeep with my wife tonight, and Memoir 44:D-Day Landings tomorrow as a solo game. I think I will play Juno Beach.
