I played D&D Lords of Waterdeep with my wife on Friday, and D-Day Maps:American Airborne solo on Sunday. This was my first playing of D-Day Maps. I liked the reinforcement rules and the town control objectives. I don’t like the new rules combining infantry and armor making supported infantry and supported armor. I don’t think they really add to the game. The advantage of supported armor is that it can use the infantry modifiers on a close assault, well the flame tanks pretty much let you do that too.
We played a new mission of Zombicide while trying out Ultrared Mode. It doesn’t really add much unless you’re using it through a campaign. I think we’ll start one soon.
Also got in a first play of the recently-arrived-from-Kickstarter Providence. I enjoyed it for what it is – a very small travel game. Lastly, I got real jealous of @HaiKulture… with Zombicide monopolizing my Saturday night, and chasing around a toddler all day, I just can’t find time to squeeze in Heroes of Metro City. It takes us 2 hours every time we play it, and weekend nights are our only availability of that much time. It’s probably my favorite deckbuilder – or a close second to Thunderstone, which we also never finished in less than 2 hours. I probably get to play each once a month – nowhere near enough.
Had some family over that isn’t quite into the games I’m liking. We busted out some Settlers of Catan which I enjoyed and hadn’t played in a while. We then pulled out Trivial Pursuit which I really haven’t played in a really long time. It was nice, but I’m reminded of what’s frustrating about it … roll and move … work to get the last piece of the pie and always get a hard question.
Got in 7 more adventures of Pathfinder on Sunday as we completed the Skinsaw pack with a couple of close calls including one scenario win on the very last card of the blessing deck.
College age gaming at the church again so I played many sessions of Crokinole, taught Jack the Ripper of the Mystery Rummy series, Lords of Waterdeep, It Happens…. Also played Tsuro and X-Wing.
Other games played were Last Will, Transamerica, Chinatown, King of Tokyo, Bang! the Dice game, and Telestrations. We had about 25 present but it seemed like more because people showed up earlier than normal and stayed a lot longer.
Played some Heroes of Metro City since @Account Deletion whispered it in my ear and tried a new fighter in Battlecon:Devastation (and lost).
Sunday: The Pathfinder Six gather early to shut down The Temple of the Stone Giants and then…we are going to kill the rest of the afternoon with Order of the Stick: The Adventure Game the Twilight Imperium Of Dungeon Crawling. Personally, I love the game because I love the comic – a certain other chap I pledge fidelity to: not-so-much. Back room deals were made and stir fry is now on the menu for Monday. Small price to pay. *GLEE*
I have already finished 2 games of Conquest of planet Earth and 1 play through of Marvel Legendary with the all the expansions (including Villains). If i get bored, I’ll probably play a few games of Seasons via boardgamearena.
So far this weekend: Patchistory, Save the Queen, Balloon Cup, Isaribi, Onitama, Trick of the Rails. Of course, not one of those is in this database; no worries.
I’m missing the EGG game day Saturday, which has be bummed out, but I should make it to my game group on Sunday. I’m bringing Valley of the Kings, Carnival Zombies, and Going, Going, Gone. It should be a lot of fun.
At home, I’ve been playing a lot of Sushi go with the family. After about 10 games, I still have yet to win. I think food themes keep me distracted. That’s my excuse anyway.
I’m off to my local gaming happy hour tonight and hope to play either (or both) Starship Merchants and/or I Say, Holmes!

Was away in the campervan, but had a few games of love letter. On our return we played escape the curse….. And arctic scavengers (for the first time)
Family reunion – played pinochle! Also got in a couple more games of Helios and a long one of Terra Mystica.

Great weekend…
I picked up a copy of Merchants and Marauders and played a 3-player learning game. What an awesome thematic game!

Hoping to try out Race for the Galaxy and Sentinels of the Multiverse both for the first time.
Bora Bora, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures and Gears of War.
Got in 7 more adventures of Pathfinder on Sunday as we completed the Skinsaw pack with a couple of close calls including one scenario win on the very last card of the blessing deck.
Splendor and Takenoko arrived Thursday, so we gave them both a good run for the weekend.
Played a couple solo games of City of Iron to learn the rules better and be able to teach it. Cool game!

Played Istanbul and Spyrium, neither of which are available to track. No worries, even though Istanbul won KdJ.
Plus a couple runs through of a prototype of a Gamer Bling original design.

Mr. Bauza is the flavour of the weekend. Ghost Stories and 7 wonders.
