We’ve got a sitter for the kids tonight so that we could plan an Arkham Horror all-nighter mixing in various expansions. We’ve also been having a blast with Mars Attacks: Ten-Minute Takedown and hope to give Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe its first go after two failed attempts this week.
What are you playing this weekend?
@stratagon…
I’ll try with what I think I know…
1: no clue
2: sounds zombieish. No clue.
3: XCOM or Space Alert… I’m going with Space Alert. Got that from the library this week, but haven’t played yet.
4: gots to be Imperial Assault!

@ inmarg
So generous of you to abstain. 🙂
I’m always happy to hear that people are reading the quiz even if they don’t/can’t solve them.
@ Stratagon
I think I’ll give someone else a chance this week…
Which of course has nothing to do with me knowing only the third game.. 😉
Epic Game Day quotes (one from each game, can you guess them?):
1 – Once we knew you would beat us with the second treasure chest, we should have focused on killing you instead. Felt more like a race than a war.
2 – I need to eat two more blondes and one reporter before this town is completely destroyed.
3 – Shift change! Sensors and Shields switch places with Engineering.
4 – You can’t shoot through that red line. You need to run around it before you take out that terminal.
Few games of Heroes wanted and Splendor and 1 game of Agent Smerch
We played some good games of Memoir 44 and some Star Realms. And another epic laugh thru DungeonQuest. Been trying our hand at Welcome to the Dungeon, but aren’t liming it much. Having trouble getting past what we see as bailing-at-the-perfect-time and outlast the rest of the players rather than trying to actually win.
In honor of The Strain this weekend I think I’ll play every vampire game I have. Geez, not sure there’s enough time for all that gaming but I’ll give it a whirl and hopefully have a bloody good time, mate!
Get some Catan Dice and Hostage Negotiator in on solo games, haven’t had anyone to get into anything else this weekend
Got to play some Dexter Board Game, Ticket to Ride, Diamonds and Say Anything with my brothers on Sunday. Then got to try out The Phantom Society finally.
Finally some F2F gaming again and not only solo.
A game of Claustrophobia with the latest expansion, which is great, and following up with a game of C&C:Ancients. Due to being awakened at 4:30 yesterday that was it for yesterday, but might be a new chance for gaming this evening.
A little Race for the Galaxy last night, and teaching myself Agricola to myself today!
I man playing Coloretto, Hanabi, The Builders: Middle Ages and Love Letter. It’s a weekend of small travel games for my wife and I.
So far Zombicide has been played and will be played again. Today will bring a day of games. Zombicide, Game of Thrones, Temple of Elemental Evil BG, Sentinels, Descent and Myth if there is time. Gaming starts in 3…2…1…
Looking at some small world, hopefully moving onto descent. We’ll see.
Played a lot of Telestrations and Star Realms already. Also a game of Sentinels. Thinking I will get in some Machi Koro and Smash Up before the weekend ends. One of my friends gave me Mermaid Rain as a gift. Has anyone played it before? It seems like a fun game.
So far, I’ve played a lot of Battle Line, Lost Cities, Canasta, and Catan. My wife was wanting to game more, so these are some of her favorites. It’s a nice break from all the Galaxy Defenders I’ve been playing with my son.
@gregoryjaylee I would recommend trying Bang:The Dice game or finding games that have themes along with his interests.
Not entirely sure what will hit my table this weekend. Maybe some Exodus: Proxima Centauri, Sheriff of Nottingham, a few games of Dice Masters and Weiss Schwarz, Spartacus since I got the latest expansion for it. Anything else will just be what others want to play.
Hosting the monthly Epic Game Day. Will post a quiz sometime after Saturday!
We’ve made a start with Legendary, and will be going on with Dig Down Dwarf, and maybe some Mice and Mystics. Woohoo!
My dad wants to try out a new board game. Played Ticket to Ride with him last week with my family; thinking to try Machi Koro this weekend. Any game you all recommend?
My dad is in his 70s, but actually won 1 of the 2 games of Ticket to Ride last week, was his first time playing. He also played King of Tokyo as well, but don’t think he enjoyed it much.
I’m worried to play something too thematically strong. Might try to see if he would like Roll for the Galaxy, but that’s probably my preference speaking.
