I hope to be playing some Castle Panic, maybe try single player At the gates of loyang, and bring out my Colloseum for a test run. Time will tell if I will get through it all. Maybe I`ll go to my game group on Monday. Need to warm my gaming skills for the gathering I`ll attend in September! 😛
Last weekend my husband bought me a copy of TTR Nordic Countries. However, a chatty neighbor would not let my husband go inside for two hours. (Sadly ruining a date night with our son at Grandma’s!) Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to crack it open Saturday night after the little man’s bedtime. 🙂
I’ve been played a lot of Descent this week (we just finished Act 1) so I’ll probably take a break from that one. I’m going out of town and I’m going to pack a few games. Catan and Forbidden Island I think.
I will be getting a copy of Lords of Waterdeep this evening (assuming all goes well; I am not anticipating any difficulties) and really hope to be able to play it this weekend. I’ll also likely get in a few games of Race for the Galaxy, though whether they will be played against an actual person or more of “me versus the computer” is still up in the air. There might be a few other things as well, depending on how everything pans out.
@Rob Harper, I love the description “Compact Traveling Games Cupboard (of Doom)”. It makes me smile.
Heading to visit the in-laws for a week, so I’m bringing some lighter/co-op stuff. They enjoy Pandemic, so I hope to play that, as well as Flashpoint: Fire Rescue. I also have Guillotine and Settlers of Catan, and we might even get a game of Survive: Escape from Atlantis, as well.
Besides catching up on my review backlog here at this site, I’ve been playing all week on my vacation. I’ve played some Zooloretto, Memoir 44, and Lost Cities.
Tomorrow, the kids and I are having a “game day”, so no telling what will happen. We’ve got some Memoir ’44 campaigns started, so we might continue those. Probably some more Zooloretto, Core Worlds, and Sid Meier’s Civilization.
Have a huge family function to go to on Saturday, so I’m going to slip a couple social games into my bag and maybe try to play one or two. With all the eating, drinking, kid watching and socializing that’ll be going on I don’t know if they’ll ever leave the bag, but it’s worth a shot!
Looks like it’s going to be a Warmachine/Hordes weekend. Some friends are running an event at GenCon and want to test out their scenario and how the terrain holds up. All I know is it involves loot cards for destroying buildings.
Last night the guys got together for some Lords of Waterdeep, Quarriors, and Alhambra. I took two out of three, so that was a good night. This weekend I have family coming in town and I expect to sit down at least one night to play something else.
We are travelling around this weekend, but have the Compact Traveling Games Cupboard (Of Doom), which is an old laptop bag stuffed to the brim with assorted card and dice games, so we’ll probably get through a few of them.
Friends and I will be playing some Android… and maybe some Infiltration to go with it. We have a love/hate relationship with Android… it’s a hard game to get your head around (intricate and unbalanced, yet chock full of interesting mechanics). I’ll probably play some King of Tokyo and Heroscape with the kids as well.
Have some friends calling around on Saturday for a games day. We are planning to play Lords of Waterdeep, followed by Elder Sign. With Munchkin and Zombie Dice sure to feature in between games.
Hoping to also get in a game of Ticket to Ride and Cargo Noir later over the weekend also.
I just played Mage Knight for the first time and that game is a blast! This weekend I want to get in a few games of Lord of the Rings LCG, maybe some Elder Sign, and hopefully a game of War of the Ring.
Just got Takenoko, Ikusa and King of Tokyo in the mail. Will be playing all three this weekend. Takenoko and King of Tokyo will bookend Ikusa as filler, respectively. Will be busting out some libations for King of Tokyo. Some Zombie Dice usually gets played. I might play a round of Elder Sign before my fellow gamers show up.

Gonna try out some San Juan and try to track down a copy of Ascension.
