This weekend we’re planning to play Dead of Winter by Plaid Hat Games, Jupiter Rescue by Twilight Creations and Lost Legacy: The Starship by Alderac. It’s going to be epic!
Big game day on Monday. I hope to get in games of Dead of Winter, Carnival Zombie, Heroes Wanted, Imperial Settlers, Istanbul, and Sentinel Tactics. I may be deluding myself in how many games I can play in 10 hours, but I’m going to try and cram as many in as possible…eating and drinking on the fly between games. It’s important to stay hydrated.
Last night I ran through a solo game of Legendary Encounters, which seems like it will be a pretty good game. I’ll try a couple of more scenarios over the week-end. Looking at the artwork, though, makes me realize that I won’t be playing this one with the family, which makes me sad.
My son and I are engaged in an ongoing Hull Breach marathon (playing our 6th or 7th straight game), so I expect that to continue.
I also just completed my miniatures for Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients, and I’m almost finished reading the rulebook. I’m planning to break it out and do some epic questing in the weird west.
We played Cash and Guns, Dixit, King of Tokyo and Room 25. All were fun. We lost on Room 25 found the room but could get out in time. Cyber Bunny took Tokyo, and Cash and Guns is becoming a new favorite, we need to get in on this site!
@Budgie That was a grand post! LOL Quite a gambit you are running this weekend!
My pleasure about Heroes Wanted– I think you will have a fun Monday in Zeta City POW-BAM-BIFFing your way to fame points. 🙂 It has a very Smash Uppy vibe for me where the name of the game is fun rather than brain burning and you’ll find yourself ankle deep in charm over theme.
I’m also curious to hear @Account Deletion’s thoughts.
After a long hard month, we are going to get together tomorrow for game night, which may involve Pandemic, a librarian version of CAH, or even the Resistance. But at some point, I am SURE that we will play Sentinels of the Multiverse for a third time! We decided the last game night that we loved that game, and people have been asking about it ever since. 😛
Looks like tonight I’ll be playing some great friendlies of Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, and maybe Boss Monster. Tomorrow will be prepainted miniatures day with Heroclix and X-Wing Miniatures.
@Hai – I forgot to thank you for your thoughts on Heroes Wanted last week. Mine came in on Monday and despite the pernicious purple dice pips was more than satisfied with the quality of the game. I started a few practice rounds but have yet to get in an actual game. I hope to hit somebody’s table with it this weekend…which may actually do some damage now that I think about it. Heroes are heavy!
We’ll be kicking off this long weekend with an encounter with a hill troll and a footrace to the Anduin River (Lord of the Rings LCG). The next morning will start with a hike up the literal stone face of Mhar Massif to fight one of them recently-awakened-ancient-evil types (Pathfinder ACG: Rise of the Runelords) and may end with us getting snowed in and having to decide whether or not to cannibalize someone while the undead gather outside our windows (Dead of Winter). Monday I’m hoping to prove myself worthy of membership to the Zeta City Champions by sweeping the streets clean of henchmen and underlings (Heroes Wanted).
As you can see I’m pretty busy, but it’s not all fun and games every weekend, is it? 😉
We are definitely playing our first game of Castles of Burgundy tonight. Sometime over the long weekend we’ll hopefully get in our first game of Heroes Wanted as well. And if the gods of free time allow, I’d like to start a scenario book of Sentinel Tactics.
Long weekend and only a few weeks after GenCon I have a bunch on my list. I think primarily we are going to get into some Spartacus, Golem Arcana, and DiskWars. OH!! and D&D…always some D&D.
Woke up at the beach this morning which makes for a convenient holiday weekend. 🙂
Making the trip with us was: Sentinel Tactics, Battlecon:War/Devastation, Heroes Wanted, Villagers and Villains (which I haven’t been able to get on the table yet), and King of Tokyo (for The Nieces). Staying with various aspects of The Boy’s non-gamery family isn’t exactly a cardboard fest but there will probably be some late night kitchen table whisper gaming, mega-monster giggles with The Nieces, and a porchside mojito and I finishing a review of SenTact. *toes crossed*
The real tabletop hotness being the extra stay through to Tuesday and prepping for the Fourth Annual ShoreCon next weekend. Huzzah!

We will be giving another fight to villains on Sentinels: Vengeance, and will also play for sure some Flash point and Libertalia
We have used to a lot of summer play, and getting back to work is being difficult, hehe

Would love to get a game or two of X-wing, Pandemic, and/or Fortune and Glory this weekend.
Got my fresh copy of Takenoko and will play it a few times I think. In addition we have planned to play a game of A Study in Emerald.
Nothing, but I desperately want to play SOMETHING!!!

Not much gaming expected due to a family visit. Might get some Pathfinding in on Sunday evening, only 6 scenarios left.

I may try to get the wife to sit down for a couple of games of Village in a Box in some spare time.

Red Dragon Inn 1-3, Cypher, Dead of Winter, and Heroes Wanted.
I’ll try to get my second pair of heroes through the last adventure of Pathfinder Adventure Card game…if I have time.
I am going to spend weekend with parents so am taking along some great intro games like Ticket to Ride, Tsuro and Carcassonne.
