A few grueling weeks of work have hampered gaming in our house, and we hope to make up for that this weekend. In honor of this week’s explorable favorites, Through the Ages is at the top of the list. We’ll also try out the upcoming Fluxx Dice Expansion with either the Batman or Adventure Time set. Finally, if time permits we want to squeeze in our first game of Dogs of War, which we’ve ignored for 10 months, before a couple new Cool Mini packages arrive in the next few weeks.
What are you playing this weekend?
I will be playing Eldritch Horror tomorrow, starting at noon, and will tackle either Hastur or the Elder Things (randomly drawn). I expect to spend about 6 hours enjoying a variety of insanities, infirmities, and death. It’ll be a very fun Sunday! 🙂
Last weekend was the Ludum Dare GameJam, so didn’t get much board gaming in, except for a couple rounds of Tsuro at a friend’s place.
Ended up playing Myth for the first time on Saturday. Was really fun, but took a long time to learn how to play.
@Harry, i own Cyclades but only played two times. I like it for its own mechanics, which for me makes a quick tactical game.
Slow game evening with my daughter, got around to play X-wing and Heroquest
I got in some Builders; The Middle Ages, Hanabi, and Love Letter.
Managed to squeeze in a game of Tzol’kin and some MTG after the last few weeks have been too busy to get much done.
Hosted another monthly game night at the church for the college age kids. Lower turn out than usual due to a scheduling conflict for most. But still played several games of Crokinole. Introduced them to Flick ’em Up and Smash Up. Brought out old favorites like Telestrations and Batman Love Letter. And we revisited Flash Point and Colt Express.
A friend of mine had a game night this weekend, woo! We started with Coup as we waited for people to show up, then split into two groups of four once everyone was present. My first group played Gravwell while the other group played Dixit Then, we picked games for a second round and split up again. My group played Lanterns: The Harvest Festival while the other group played Sushi Go! Finally, we all re-convened to play through every single white card in Cards Against Humanity. A good time was had by all.
Had a hope of continuing on our journey through the 3. Pathfinder story but due to other engagements it was impossible to meet up. Ran a few scenarios of LotR_LCG instead, starting on On the Doorstep
I got to play some King of Tokyo, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Pathfinder ACG, and Zombicide.
Only a few games of Glass Road
Machi Koro with harbour expansion!
I have just bought cyclades and am looking forward to it. Any body else played it ?
We got two families together last night to play The Resistance: Avalon, Exploding Kittens and Telestrations. We all had a blast. Tonight we hope to play Sentinels of the Multiverse.
Played a few games of Exploding Kittens, one of my friends backed it and received 2 copies so we played with 10 players. It was pretty fun, I wasn’t a huge fan of the elimination element but it is a silly party game. Also played some Star Realms. Hopefully I can get in some games of Machi Koro.
Celebrating my wife’s birthday this weekend so we will play things she likes. Batman Fluxx; Star Trek: Settlers of Catan; Cardline; and various German card games. It will be a large group so I will probably sneak in some Keyflower and Magic the Gathering: Arena of the Planeswalkers.
Batman Fluxx (just got it but I haven’t played it yet), Castle Panic and some Pathfinder Rise of the Rune Lords this weekend. I may see if we can throw down a game or two of Game of Thrones if the group is up for it.
Ticket to ride followed by catan.
I have revived Love Letter and Castle Panic for a “retro game” weekend.
