After a looooong week at the day job (sorry for the lack of news items!) the weekend can’t come soon enough. We’re planning to run through all 7 factions in ShadowRift this weekend with the Archfiends decks in play (we’re surprised how much we love this game!) Fitting somewhere around all that cooperative deck-building will be 12 lbs of 12 Realms received last weekend and an interesting little sticker game called Monstre.
What are you playing this weekend?
Only a few games of Archipelago
Star Wars X-Wing (3 games), Splendor (1 game)
Played a couple games of The Resistance as well as a game of Shadows Over Camelot, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Alien Frontiers and Zombicide. All in all a great weekend of gaming.
We got Batman Fluxx and played it yesterday. Fun game!
Got a chance to Blokus Duo for the first time. I really like it, and it will out the final coffin in Hive for me.
Doing some playtesting for Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn so I’m playing lots of it. I also hope to break out Arcadia Quest or Fortune and Glory. We’ll see…
We played a 4 player game of Brass which has now claimed the spot of most confusing game I’ve played. Also played Machi Koro and Smash Up and a scenario or two of Pathfinder: RotR.
Played a full game of Parcheesi without having anyone throw a fit for backstabbing moves. That was a plus!
That night also played a simp,e balance dexterity game called Suspend. That was fun times.
Then we went to the game store…
Came home with Alchemists and Pathfinder Rise Runelords. Unfortunately our box of pathfinder is missing a whole set of cards that makes the game unplayable, but we were able to get Alchemist out. Oh my. I decided to teach the boys how to play AS I read the rules this time… How hard could THAT be? I chose to do that stupid move with one of the hardest family games we’ve played. Yikes! We did have fun eventually, but my 10yo dropped out after hour 4 of 7. That did include dinner though. I won by one point.
Working saturday but sunday is open. Might try and get the girlfriend and her sister to play some Fortune and Glory and Small World. If time permits mabe some Zombicide.
Zombicide is the game of the moment for me at the weekends!
In honor of “Fear The Walking Dead” airing next weekend, I’ll be starting my celebrations early with…….. You guessed it!…….. Zombicide! And maybe a little, *shake, shake, shake*, Zombie Dice!
I will be playing Heroclix, Warband and my wife just got Batman Fluxx so we will play that. The rest is up in the air as usual.
Got to play Doodle Quest with the In-laws last night. My father-in-law is an artist, so it was fun watching him try to do the quest.
Just got Dark Moon (BSG Express), very excited to try it out with my group. Also got a copy of Ladies & Gentlemen, which we might end up playing if we have more than 7 joining us. Have to say, I’m very impressed with the production on Ladies & Gentlemen, the thing that really got me was the linen cardboard/art finish in the interior of the box. Who does that?
Citadels at an outdoor camping game afternoon! It’ll be windy so Citadels is a good game for a windy day.
I should have lots of down time this weekend, so I will play as many games as I can. I may dust off some of my lesser played titles and reevaluate them.
My family and I will be taking on Elder Sign with both expansions as well as a 5 player version of Fortune and Glory (Co-op against the *****)
We are heading to the game store this weekend. 51st birthday garnered at €40 gift certificate and some extra cash from my life-bonus. I’ll check in after we see what is there this week…
