This weekend we’ll be playing a prototype of The Siblings Trouble currently on kickstarter. Next week we’ll be posting our impressions. We’ll also be playing some Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King as well as Xenoshyft Onslaught.
What are you playing this weekend?
@Stratgon I see you hung your Interweb shingle – congrats 🙂
Took the new Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King out for a spin and merged the old set with the card updates. Pretty much what I expected. It was like buying the same make and model car with a fresher assembly line date (or whatever the technical term for that is – I think I was doing pretty well for myself with “make and model”.) Feels pretty much the same but has a few new bells and whistles. Super Dungeon Jetta in my book.
Also tried a 2-player co-op of Space Movers which appeared out of nowhere and might have won the award for quickest fulfilment turnover in this house. Looks beautiful and nice components – but needs more than two. All the dex dice rolling and bouncing makes for a gathering crowd to cheer and hiss those fickle D-10’s.
Lastly another kick in the vacuum by The Captain is Dead which just closed the expansion sale on Game Crafter who sent me a note it should ship within two weeks – now that will be the fastest crowdfundy fulfilment in this house if that happens.
I got more played than expected because the weather was bad. I played Jushimatsu(just got it from Japan) some older games- Dragonmaster, Get Bit, King of Tokyo, some newer ones-Splendor, Loonacy and Luck O’ the Dice. played most more than once and had a good day overall.
@Provincial,
Descent is awesome! I am the Overlord and we have just finished the opening and the first half of the first quest. Thoroughly recommend this excellent game.
I actually wanted Imperial Assault but the shop was out of stock when I got there. Will get it in a month or two, let me know how you get on!
So, we played more Xia, and I finally got to play Specter Ops. That’s going to be a nice game to pull out on occasion…when nothing else but “hide-n-seek” will do.
I was able to get a game of Sentinels of the Multi-verse in, really had a good game of it, introduced a new friend to the game
@Harry
I’m envious of you. I have Imperial Assault (the force wielding brother of Descent). I haven’t got it to the table yet but am anxious to try. I hope Descent was as great as what I’m hearing.
On another note, I started late at the Netrunner table….. What an amazing game, I’m hoping to get tons of play time on this game. Simply incredible!
A few games of Camel Up with the nephews: another winner game for the whole family
I also start playing Sherlock Holmes consulting detective: I really love that game (if we can call this a game)as a solo experience. I do not find it hard to solve the crime but the challenge is to do it with fewest steps
Started up my first campaign in Descent as Overlord. Seems to be an excellent game.
Was able to get in a game of A conflict of Heroes and Ghost Stories on Sunday.
Highlight of the weekend though was one of my best friends getting married on Saturday.
I finished painting my Wave One models for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. I would love to do some commission work for any of you non-artsy types. Twitter @stratagon for photos or to contact me!
Nothing yesterday (family commitments) but today was filled with Forbidden Island, Pandemic, Zombie Dice, and Mice and Mystics. Supa fun time!
Last night I played my first game of Dead of Winter. It was a lot of fun but quite the learning curve. Not everyone’s cup of tea in my group. Might have a hard time getting it back to the table sadly.
After a few people left we squeezed in a couple scenarios of Pathfinder ACG Rise of the Runelords. Keep gaming, friends!
My Son and I startet a five Times Play of Kanban. So this and the next 4 Weeks we play Kanban. 🙂
This Week i won with 145 to 142 points. It was the first Time Play for my son , so for next week it looks not good for me. 🙂
I just picked up a copy of Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the Cursed Island, so that’s on the docket for tomorrow night. I did a read-through of the rules earlier to hopefully make the first round easier, but a re-read is definitely in order.
Taught Bohnanza to the folks at work, lost (for the first time evver) to Gamer Bling Expansion #2 at Thunderstone: Advance, and most likely Carcassonne on Sunday against the Gamer Bling Official Companion.
If my girlfriend is free of work we will try my new games i bought this week..Lords Of Vegas and Panamax…otherwise as everybody else is working i’ll try solo Mage Knight and Pathfinder ACG..
I finally reread the rules to Manoeuvre and perused Vinci, which I got used. Either those or one of the three new games I bought – Ginkgopolis, The Princes Of Florence, Five Tribes – if I can find the time to read more rules!..
Had a rousing game of Cthulhu Fluxx today. Have a yen to play Galaxy Trucker this weekend. Nothing pleases me more than carefully, yet hurriedly, constructing a ship only to have it battered and crushed, limping back to spaceport.
We are away at center parcs in Woburn, UK and have in the bag, machi koru, qwirkle, love letter and Jane Austin matchmaker
