A kickstarter game arrived in the mail recently called The Perfect Heist! We’ve played it twice so far and really enjoy it. It does seem like a game where the more players there are the better, so we’re hoping to play the max six players.
What are you playing this weekend?
I am going to a friends house this weekend and going to introduce him to Killer Bunnies the Journey to Jupiter, Operation: Maccabee and The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring Deck Building Game. He has a surprise game for me.
I went to the MtG M14 prerelease on Saturday, so this weekend was full of ridiculous amounts of Magic. I’m impressed with the new cards and had a lot of fun. I also got in a few games of Cardfight!! Vanguard before the prerelease started, which was also fun.
I’d hoped to also play Takenoko again, or Hanabi, but neither one worked out.
After an exciting weekend at Connecticon where me and my friends got to try a few new games (I personally played Cosmic Encounters, Kingsburg, and Alien Frontiers), this week is going to seem positively tame in comparison. Odds are my usual game group will play some Viticulture, Panic on Wall Street, and maybe some Sentinels of the Multiverse.
The collection of M14 Magic actually came out with some really good cards in the main focus for the colors green and red (incidentally, the two new Planeswalkers are these colors).
I would even give it to make a more dynamic combat with green spells and red creatures.
MtG M14 Prelease, Hanabi, and Sentinals
Hey guys!!!
Stepped foot in my LGS for the first time in ages!! It felt so good to see games again! Been running ragged with obligations! I picked up some miniatures and the latest LOTR expansions.
Spiel des Jahres weekend, hitting all three of this year’s finalists (Qwixx, Augustus, and Hanabi). Quite enjoyable!
I’ve also been getting back into playing Cribbage with the free Cribbage Pro app, which has been a lot of fun, with a good advanced difficulty AI.
Just finished a turn of Dungeon Fighter. Good co-op game, got killed at the end. Fun ways of throwing the dice, very interactive! 😀 Love it!
I’ve played Pirates Vs. Dinosaurs; Cinque Terre; Keyflower; La Boca; amd will play Heroclix and a few others today.
More DUELS OF THE PLAINWALKERS 2014! Sealed deck mode is great!
Some FLUXX, SLEEPING QUEENS and THERES A MOOSE IN THE HOUSE with the family.
Trying to plan a gaming night this week for some Small World, Munchkin, and Forbidden Island.
I am visiting some of my kids this weekend so I brought all my games along to teach and play! Battlestar Galactica, LOTR & DC DBG, Star Trek Catan and Star Trek DBG The Next Phase. Should be an exciting weekend!!
A new Philip duBarry prototype.
I will be Demo’ing The Agents at my local card shop. I was lucky enough to get the print and play version of the full game plus a few of the expansion cards and it is by far the best game I have played in a long time. Its currently up on Kickstater, Its quick deep strategy game, with some truly innovative mechanics, and it blew through all its Stretch goals on day one. Cant wait to see what he has in store for us next.
Monday night got in a game of LOTR:TCG and A:NR. Both wins. Also finished a PBF game of SotM on BGG earlier in the morning. Win there as well. How’s that for ABC soup?
MTG.
Learned how to play Star Trek Deck Building Game: The Next Generation – Next Phase after much research online. The rulebook sucks, but game is better.
Family cookout which included Wits and Wagers, Avalon, and Apples to Apples.
Played newly acquired Belfort with 4 players. Fun game. Other than that; Ticket to Ride pocket
Ended up playing three games of Netrunner (got crushed) and two games of Guildhall (splitting the wins).
For game night, played Terra Mystica (again) to better acclaim, Money, The Great Heartland Hauling Co, Flapjacks & Sasquatches, Small World & Small World Underground, Agricola, Dwarven Dig (6 players, first time, went waaaay too long and horrible rule book), Shadow Hunters, 25-player Werewolfe, 7 Wonders, Perfect Heist (just like Munchkin), Snake Oil, 8-Minute Empire, and final 6-player BSG + Pegasus expansion went epic 5.5 hrs with humans winning. Another great night!
