Backing a project can be a great thing, but please do the research on a game before you put money into it. Happy exploring!

Cthulu Wars looks like the most epic thing I have seen in a long time. Those minis are just gargantuan! I wish I would’ve known about it sooner and could’ve afforded a game reward. Those minis!
Kickstarter has really opened a lot of possibilities up for new games that would never have seen the light of day or even been possible just a few years back. It is amazing how far we have advanced with technology in the last few years with things like Kickstarter and print on demand, etc.
Would like to get my hands on ‘Cornish Smuggler’
Cthulhu Wars! Excellent!
I’m surprised Princes of the Dragon Throne got funded. Support was trickling in for a long time and it looked like it was going to fall short.
Okay, I admit it…I didn’t want this game to succeed. I have a personal problem with games retailing over $100, let alone $172 MSRP.
But I guess Kickstarter funding doesn’t equate to retail success.
Some nice games here I cannot decide which ones I want!
Wow, Cthulu Wars looks like another $1M+ miniatures game. I think it would be fun to have the Old Ones available for Arkham Horror, etc, but that is quite the commitment.
I did pick up one not on this list. It does look fun, even if it isn’t that different. 😉

Ha! My game just missed the deadline of July 2nd. Ortus Arena launched on Kickstarter July 3rd.
Check it out if you like fast paced tactical games for two!
Also, backed Ancient Terrible Things today. This game really got a lot of love from the designer, judging by the art and graphic design. Something I value a lot!
@Lozmoid – It really does look good, but I’m burned out on Horror/Cthulhu games right now. Obviously, I’m in the minority though. 🙂
That ‘Dark Darker Darkest’ looks amazing!!
@Chopper Dan/Urosh – I know what you mean. Wok Star stuck out to me cause you could get that and the paperback game for 70 bucks and I know both of those are games my wife would most definitely be into. THe only other game that struck my fancy lately that I did back was Kaosball.
@Urosh: I think I’m with you that there seems to be less quality-looking games on KS right now. I backed the just-wrapped up Keyflower project (reprint of a current game), and am currently backing VivaJava Dice and the Wrong Chemistry expansion. I’m looking at Assault: 19XX, but the rules aren’t really exciting me.
Cthulhu Wars looks like it might be interesting to play a couple times, but I certainly can’t justify the cost for the thing with how little I’d likely play it.
I can’t tell if there are fewer games that I like on Kickstarter recently, or if I’m becoming more jaded. 🙂
Either way, I like the look of VivaJava Dice, and Council of Verona.
@Tsetzuko – I’m with you on that one. Paperback looks like something my wife would love to own so i got it along with Wok Star for the discounted rate.
I already secured myself a copy of Paperback. I’d love to back Princes of the Dragon Throne and get a copy of that as well if it wasn’t so expensive. Oh well.
No VivaJava Dice?
Edit: There it is 🙂
