Backing a project can be a great thing, but please do the research on a game before you put money into it. Happy exploring!

Haha, had to chuckle when I found this list… Looking for reviews for City of Iron, led me here, when I was trying to decide whether or not to pledge for the expansion. Glad to see it’s a good circle between Kickstarter and boardgaming.com
Zombie 15′ is well on it’s way to a nice, crazy fund-filled Final 24.
I’m wishing Heroes of Metro City: Sidekicks a little pixie dust magic because The Boy and I got the base during the first campaign and it really is a nice little Cape-builder. I wish there was a few more odds and ends attached to the ‘vanity pledges’ because the art looks great on the last update and it is reasonable. Who wouldn’t want to get in on the tights and fights?
Not included in this new flash – I want to give Westerly a shout https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2010758051/westerly-reboot A parody of the sacred pixelated prairie of yesteryear: The O-Trail, bWesterly has a lot of potential in humor and moxie. There are two 54 deck expansions for a decent price and you have the option of just being a ‘Straight Shooter’ and sticking with the base or going kitchen sink in on the parody with a ‘Trails and Tropes’ where they poke fun at some of the overdone ‘printing money’ themes in gaming today: Zombies, Steampunk, and Good Ol Cthulhu. It’s pretty fresh and unique and deserves a peek and some love in my opinion.
A few really good looking games on this list, in particular Zeepelin, Aeronauts and Alchemy caught my attention. A shame you missed out our game on Kickstarter ‘Maze Master’ though. 😛
I think Heroes Wanted is gonna be a good one though.
There seem to be certain themes that do particularly well. Cowboys, pirates and zombies.
Hey, Jim, I saw you took my input. Thanks!
@Wade C.
Great avatar change Wade;)
Heroes Wanted backed! Didn’t know why that took me so long… missed the discounted early bird specials.
Looking into Mob Town now… This is bad for my wallet….
Zeppeldrome (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/12spent/zeppeldrome-a-humorous-hazardous-dirigible-rally) looks really good too.
Okay, so I just got around to playing the P&P version of Lagoon – it’s brilliant.
What I love is how the energy strategy you choose changes as you play. I was blue for most of the game, then the balance of power shifted, so I went for red, then I considered yellow when Jasmine seemed to have flip-flopped too, then I went back to blue for the victory!
It came right down to the wire.
Highly recommend you either back this, or at least try the P&P on the KS site.
@jwspiker – for me, the Fantastica: Rucksack Edition campaign isn’t worth backing because you don’t get the board (I know it plays the same as the Enchanted Edition, but the board is a must to me).
Also, I don’t think it helps that the campaign isn’t “Fantastiqa”, but “3 Games of Art…” You kind of have to squint to tell Fantastiqa is in there.
lagon game is one i’m keeping my eyes on, as well as oddball and heros wanted. Fantastiqa project is one i’m on by i’m surprised it’s not doing better. My budget has shrunk so much i can’t get all of them, nor fief. Must make decision wisely. I backed out of tortuga, looks interesting but Queen doesn’t know how to run KS projects IMO.
My wife tells me that I am too negative sometimes, or concentrate on what I don’t like too often. So I won’t talk about the KS games that don’t interest me, or those that I’ve demoed and didn’t like. 🙂
But I will say that I’m really excited about Lagoon: Land of Druids! I’m not really sure why it appeals to me so much, but this game is super high on my list.
So many games…
I am looking forward to Tiny Epic Kingdoms.
If I wasn’t a poor student I would have backed Alchemy and Lagoon: Land of Druids!
I have Backed Alchemy, Villages and Draco Magi and all three look incredible. I can’t wait for them to ship I am still on the fence if I want Lagoon art and game play sounds and looks great but I don’t want to spread myself to thin it’s like Christmas in July!!!!!!!
Proud backer of Lagoon: Land of Druids!
@Kaleb –
Plus the links… that one took me forever…
Yeah, a LOT of great games on KS now. I suspect it’s so they can get the product out in time for the summer cons. @Account Deletion – way to use the bold and italicize tags! 😉
Shadowrift fans will want to know that the Kickstarter now has a Party Mat that you can add on for $19. It is certainly tempting as it likely will add to the game.
