Cant believe Epic Spell Wars was this old and I missed it for years!
No reviews yet for that ‘Walking Dead’ game? Is it out already?
Saw Epic Spell Wars at the LGS last night. Artwork appears sophmoric, generaly like over the top kind of stuff, but when its at the level Ugly Americans, it looks a little juvenile) and cards look simple (like Munchkin style).
Bears! is pretty different from Cthulu and Martian Dice because there is a slight dexterity element.
Also players roll their own pools of dice simultaneously and try to make matches with a the shared pool of dice.
Thurn and Taxis looks quite interesting, and everyone seems to speak nothing but good of it. Another game added to the ever growing list of must buys.
Thurn and Taxis won the Spiel Des Jahres in 2006 and with good reason. One of my favorites!
Definitely interested in Thurn and Taxis. Just need to find someone that has a copy that I can play!
I just played Thurn and Taxis and really enjoyed it. I’ll try and write a review this week.
Epic Spell Wars looks really entertaining. I’ll need to look that one up.
How is Bears! different from Martian Dice? It looks like it may add a layer of complexity… but can’t tell for sure.
I like bears, but not sure about Bears! We’ll see.
Bears! is my favorite of those small dice games that come in a cup.
Oh, and I tried out the Cryptozoic Walking Dead game and it is surprising difficult. Especially since dead players turn into Walkers and start hunting down everyone else.
Thurn and Taxis is just delightful. Jungle Speed is a good way to break a nail.
BTW Little known fact is Granny has jungle speed. You betcha!
Happy Gaming!
Yeah! I’ve been waiting a while for another game I own. Woohoo Thurn and Taxis!
